Today's Baltimore Sun includes a review of the series along with a video version of the review with clips, including one with David Selby. (The text of the article differs from the commentary in the video clip.)

have pondered the correct pronunciation of "Salve" as it pertains to the university. Rhymes with have? I've always figured that it did. I'm sure I would cringe if that's how I pronounced it only to be corrected by someone more in the know.
If you're talking about a topical medication, it rhymes with have. If you're talking about a Latin phrase (Salve Regina means "Hail Queen" -- regina is the feminine form of rex), it's pronounced like Sal-VAY. (That would be the Catholic Church's typical pronunciation. A Latin professor would tell you to pronounce the v like a w.) The hymn "Hail Holy Queen," which can be heard at Catholic services, uses "salve regina" in the chorus, though the verses are now sung in English.

I wish I'd never seen Jane Alexander's last scene
I'm sure it's dedicated with much affection to Newt Gingrich for all his support during her tenure at the National Endowment for the Arts.  ;D

As I understand it, if you subscribe to HBO On Demand, the first episode is already available for viewing.

for those actors who did choose to step back and let Frid have the spotlight, cost was not a factor.
For at least one actor who didn't attend, cost wasn't the issue. As you note, it was a choice to go along with the spirit of the reconfigured event and stay away from it, thereby keeping the event small, even if the actor in question was, in fact, on the East Coast at the time.

I can say no more.  :-X

Get the patch!  I use it all the time when I'm at sea.  Despite my fanatical love for being on a ship, I am one of the unfortunate ones who gets mal-de-mar when I stir my coffee too fast.  With it, I've never experienced a moment's queeziness, and I've been through some rough waters (including one transatlantic crossing with 40-foot waves).  It works perfectly at exorcising that demon in the inner ear!
Had it at the time. Didn't work. Perhaps if I had wound myself in them as though I were a mummy . . .  ::)

It will be a cold day in hell before I ever set foot on another cruise ship. Did a day cruise off the coast of Florida a few years ago, and I have never been so sick in my entire life.  [puke]

Musto is so well knowm, I'm amazed no one noticed he was there last week!
He states at the very beginning of the piece that he did not attend which would explain why no one saw him there.  ;)

Getting back to the article, one thing that stumped me was "closets containing entry to hidden horrors."  Unless he's thinking of the Narnia books ::), was he perhaps interpreting the I-Ching door in the basement to be a closet?  Or the dream curse doors?  Am I forgetting something?
Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I can't believe I am having to explain this to you of all people. Clearly, it is a reference to the show's fashion horrors.  [jester]

The Official David Selby Site now includes some photos from Tell Me You Love Me.

Also, the YouTube link that I posted earlier in this thread for the "Invitation to the Set" video is now dead. The clip was removed from YouTube, but it, along with additional clips, is posted on the HBO page for Tell Me You Love Me.

Frid ordered a lamb chop
Barnabas bit Lamb Chop? Now that is just cruel, unless she kept singing "The Song That Doesn't End."  ;D

I'm still holding out for his towels from his room at the Westchester Marriott.  ;D

As mentioned elsewhere, David Selby's new HBO series, Tell Me You Love Me will air on Sundays at 9:00 pm ET beginning September 9. Prior to that, HBO will air Making Tell Me You Love Me on Tuesday, September 4, at 10:45 pm ET.

Some other preview/on-set featurettes will be available through HBO On Demand as the premiere date approaches.

A tease and the "Invitation to the Set" are available on the HBO web page for the series.

Anyone else?
There was also the part when the conductor or the cops asked the guy if he was going to get off and Sheenasma volunteered, loudly, "He's working on it!"  ;D
