Interesting that Selby's name isn't listed yet. Considering that this is Quentin's 40th Anniversary year, it would be a real shame if he doesn't attend...
I am told that Selby's schedule is too up in the air to allow him to commit to attending the Fest at this time.

Not to make this unnecessarily complicated, but, for those unfamiliar with the area, portions of Lookout Mountain are in Tennessee and portions are in Georgia. Kennedy resided in Tennessee. The accident actually happened in Georgia.

Um, is it possible to be in possession of something that is lost ?
If something is lost in the forest and nobody knows that it is lost, is it really lost?  [snow_smileydevil]

All took place during the Adam/Eve storyline
That explains why they were lost.  [snow_wink]

Why would the legend say that the sound of shattering glass was heard rather than just saying a lantern was knocked over and broke into pieces?  Why be so enigmatic when the facts are so straightforward and simple?
Short English major answer: Because legends lose their mystique if they are straightforward.  [snow_wink]

The DVD release of this miniseries may have something to do with perceived renewed interest in the subject matter. HBO is airing a 7-part miniseries on John Adams that will run from March 16 to April 20.

This was announced last month, but I missed it at the time. This particular episode of Cold Case has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the category of "Individual Episode of a Series Without a Regular LGBT Character." The complete list of nominees is here.

I'm not quite sure when the award in this category will be presented. The GLAAD web site lists four different award show dates/locations. The specific awards to be presented at each ceremony are supposed to be announced in mid-February, but it looks like they've not made the announcement yet.

This is an interesting topic, but I do have to wonder about someone who would pay 20,000 in two years for DS merchandise--think of all the good one could do with that much money!!
If you cling to that line of logic, then I think you would also have to wonder why money was spent to make the series in the first place. A fair number of people in this world make a living via the sale of merchandise that others might consider frivolous.

I know I've probably mentioned this at least a half a dozen times by now, but honestly I can never pass up an opportunity to say how I love Stokes' first visit to the Old House. It's quintessential Stokes, capped off by his audaciousness of turning a table upside down in mid-conversation with an already impatient Barnabas and remarking about how Oliver Bennett must have been drunk when he made the table:
I love that scene too because I think it gives a clear indication that there's much more to Stokes than what he's actually saying and doing. There's a very sophisticated game being played there.

Is there any word about when "Tell Me You Love Me" will start airing the second season?
My understanding -- and I should stress here that I have no inside information beyond what's been floating around on the net -- is that the second season was being written as the writers' strike began and that no episodes had actually been filmed.

Just a quick note for anyone interested in David Selby's new novel, Lincoln's Better Angel. You can order it from Barnes & Noble for less than what it costs to purchase it directly from the publisher. (Selby's official site links to the publisher's site. The book is not currently available from Amazon.)

I live in an area where you can't pick up jack without cable, and I went without cable for about 3 years. About a month ago, my neighbor decided to splice into the cable line -- except he didn't know the difference between splicing and cutting. It took about five days to fix. I am ashamed to admit that I very nearly threw a clot, and it wasn't as though I didn't have a stockpile of (DS) DVDs and videotapes to watch. I'm still staring daggers at the neighbor.
