If Jeff ever became bald, it would be tantamount to him becoming mute and completely incapable of communicating anything.  [wink2]  So, yes, THAT would certainly be his greatest fear.  [thumb]
[stfl] MB, I need you to come squeegee the coffee off my monitor.

Interesting. The link also indicates that KLS has sold Pomegranate Press.

I hear RD's funny.
He often is. The problem is that he can't shut up and let someone else be the center of attention. Once he gets his paws on a microphone, good luck getting it away from him.

There are now more specific details about David Selby's May appearance schedule in West Virginia on DavidSelby.com.

There should also be a bookstore appearance in Martinsburg, WV, but the specifics haven't been ironed out yet.

I'm guessing midnight abductions and DNA screening, am I right?
They practically invented extraordinary rendition.  [ghost_tongue2]

Any idea what the Highest Tide is about? I'd be very interested.

From what I gather, it's based on the novel by Jim Lynch. Click the link to read the plot summary.

David Selby is scheduled to give the commencement address at the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College graduation ceremony to be held Friday, May 23. The college is in Martinsburg, but the ceremony will actually be held in Inwood.

Some May book signings in West Virginia to promote Lincoln's Better Angel should be announced soon. Check DavidSelby.com for updates. (The site's Welcome page explains various options for receiving site updates via email or RSS.)

Selby also recently recorded a radio drama, The Highest Tide, for the BBC. It should air in June, but it will be available for those of us in the States to listen to online for a week following its broadcast.

Early on in 1897, Judith accuses Quentin of being drunk. He isn't, but his reply is priceless: "That's never been one of my bad habits. Never could be."

Either he's lying like a politician, or, based on what we actually see of his drinking, it was prompted by everything going to hell in his life.

Midnite and I and a few friends were going to play the DS game in the lobby of the Westchester Marriott during the '04 Fest, but time just got away from us and it never happened.
Because you couldn't be torn away from your Candyland tournament.  [ghost_grin]

I swear that they showed us this in elementary school.
It was considered as the opening theme song for Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.  [ghost_wink]

If you don't want to sway, you could always rap with Denise:

LOL. I'm a child of the 70s, so my first exposure to both Nickerson and Freeman was on the EC. To me, it's weird to see them in other stuff, not the other way round.  [ghost_cheesy]

If you missed the first season of Tell Me You Love Me last fall on HBO and you don't want to drop the cash for the DVD release that hit stores last month, the series is going to be rebroadcast on HBO2 (note the 2) on Saturday nights at 10:00 pm ET (check local listings for times in your area) beginning April 5.
