I'm just glad it only cost me $4.50 to see it.  [ghost_tongue2]
Nice to see you're out and about making use of your senior citizen discount.  [ghost_tongue]

That should be Springfield, NJ (not West Springfield. The West at the end of the street address got bumped onto the city name by mistake).

David Selby will be the guest speaker at a banquet marking the 275th anniversary of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Salem, Massachusetts.

The church was founded in 1733 on land donated by Phillip English. (English and his wife were accused of witchcraft in the 1690s.) The current church was built in 1833.

The actual banquet will be held at the Hawthorne Hotel on Thursday, September 18.

Additional details are posted on DavidSelby.com.

David Selby will present material from and sign copies of his novel, Lincoln's Better Angel, at the Barnes & Noble in West Springfield, NJ on Saturday, September 20, at 2:00 pm. Complete details on his official site, DavidSelby.com.

They didn't use the exterior of the mansion for the film. They used Thornewood Castle in Lakewood, Washington, so anything you saw on the grounds most likely had no connection to the film.

Here's a December LA Times article about TWBB filming at Greystone and the renovation of the bowling alley:

Daniel Plainview, Daniel Day-Lewis's character in the film, does some things in the house that the park rangers and the Collins family probably wouldn't care for.

Just finished watching There Will Be Blood last night and was pleasantly surprised to see Greystone at the end of the film. I had no idea that all that "I drink your milkshake" business happened in the renovated Greystone bowling alley. Apparently, the filmmakers paid for the restoration.

Too bad we didn't get to see that in the 91 series -- Willie the pin monkey.

There's an episode of the series Soldier of Fortune, Inc., renamed SOF: Special Ops Force in its second season, featuring a character who carries the cane. My memory is really fuzzy on the details, but David Selby was a regular on the syndicated series.

Oh, David!  Such a slattern you are!  (I love that word used by the Rev. Gregory Trask!)
I think we also get to hear that word roll off the tongue of Jamison while he's possessed by Petofi. Such a dear, sweet child!

357
Will David Selby's character be a recurring one?
I don't have any info on that one way or the other. Since the character outline for Richard emphasizes his relationship with his father, one would assume there's potential for additional appearances, but they've filmed 10 episodes of the series, and Selby appears in only one.

David Selby will play Richard Patrick Woolsley III in an episode of the new TNT legal drama Raising the Bar. The series premieres on Monday, September 1, at 10:00 pm ET/PT. "Richie Richer," the episode in which Selby appears, airs on Monday, September 22, at 10:00 pm ET/PT.

Episode synopsis from the TNT press release:

Quote
Richard’s extremely wealthy father offers Roz a job at his high-profile firm. Jerry defends a destitute mother whose arrest may be part of a police tactic to pressure her into testifying in a murder case. Richard and Bobbi team up on a murder case in which the suspect was defending his property from being stolen. As Judge Kessler continues to position herself as a political candidate, Charlie gets an unexpected visitor.

Selby plays the wealthy father. Series regular Teddy Sears plays his son.

Is it true that Selby did nudity?
At his age, I say:
Good For Him!
Yup. He did, in scenes with Jane Alexander. The first (and only) season is out on DVD. Eps 6-10 are available right now via HBO On Demand.

Yep, HBO had originally renewed the series, then it was stuck in limbo during the writers' strike, and then the story was that production was being held up due to a possible actors' strike.

Life goes on. Selby is filming a part in an upcoming independent film this week.  [ghost_wink]
