I set my IM preferences for the sound to none, mainly because I don't want the stupid QuickTime update thing to flash up every time I change screens on the board, and I'm not going to download the evil bugger again because, last time I did, it led to a chain of events that resulted in the Format C fix because it did something to the registry that made Norton System Works go nuts.

Anyway, even with the sound preference set to None, I am still getting the QuickTime update window on every page. Is there any way around this besides immediately reading my IMs?

Thanks,
C.

Don't say that so loud. I have a bad reputation to uphold.[firedevil]

In my ongoing effort to restrict my responses to my own posts  [stupid], I wanted to mention that I've upload Rich's photos from this past year's Festival to his site:

http://www.drksone.0catch.com

As previously mentioned, any feedback for Rich (aka DRKS ONE) should be sent via the site's Contact page.

Thanks,
Criseyde

I'll be adding more clips, hopefully with better picture and sound quality, in the coming months.

Actually, I added a clip this evening because I already happened to have it tucked away on my hard drive since I used it for my fans course this past semester. It's from the 2000 Festival in LA.

Calendar Events / Announcements '03 I / Relaunch of DRKS ONE's Site
« on: June 04, 2003, 09:48:58 PM »
Hi everyone,

Just wanted to announce that we've reposted DRKS ONE's Dark Shadows Site to another URL:

http://www.drksone.0catch.com

DRKS ONE, as many of you know, is Rich Blanco, who does extensive photography and videography at the Dark Shadows Festivals and other DS events.

The site features some of his photos from the 2001 Festival at the WTC Marriott along with clips from his 1999 Festival videotape. I'll be adding more clips, hopefully with better picture and sound quality, in the coming months.

If you like what you see, please use the feedback form on the site to contact Rich.

Thanks,
Criseyde

Was David Selby in either of the movies?

Ah, David Selby and his magical NODS pajamas. They change gently, overnight, while he sleeps.  [8371]

Try it, and watch me spread the love as various versions of the Baby Bobubas photo show up as avatars. Then again, you'd probably like that.

The Windows Media Player version will download. It's just the Real Player version that appears to be on the blink.

I'll let MB make the joke here about Windows and the devil.  ;D

Well, the devil has apparently gotten hold of their server:

"Server has reached its capacity and can serve no more streams."

Maybe a generous donation will help this important message reach more people.  [devil]

Actually, it's the Webmaster Anonymity Protection Program. [wink2]

I'm a card carrying WAPP member.   [peepwall]

Werewolves and the Women Who Adore Them-- now there's an idea for a special.  :P

Just as long as they broadcast it before "People Who Get Unglued at the Sight of False Lashes."  [lol2]

BTW, when ready to order the book, I heartily recommend using the link in Stuart's review because his website is a member of Amazon.com Associates.  The way the program works is that as long as you place your order during the same visit in which you came through the fan's website (this goes for Darren Gross' and MsCriseyde's sites as well, with apologies to anyone else I may have missed) the site owner gets a small referral fee for any purchase made at that time.

Thanks for mentioning this, Midnite. Those referral fees really do help with the web site bills.  :)

the review is incorrect. they r not watching DARK SHADOWS. there is a scene where people r watching an old hammer horror film called BRIDES OF DRACULA.

Ah . . . thanks. That would explain why I couldn't find a mention of it anywhere other than in this particular review, which appears on 3 or 4 other sites as well.
