Should have hung up on the spot when I got the report that there was a Dukes of Hazzaed table

For those who think this is merely a joke, I would like to point out that, when faced with the choice of various studio tours on her last trip to LA, Sheenasma voted for Warner Bros. primarily because the Dukes filmed there, and she made a point of having her photo taken standing outside Cooter's garage. She claims this was to impress the grandkids, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the photo matted, framed, and hung in a prominent location in her living room.  ;D

Somewhat?

Ok. So they plagiarized pretty much the entire thing verbatim without any acknowledgment whatsoever.  :o

I just added scanned images from the program today. David's bio will look somewhat familiar to regular visitors to my site.  ::)

Me again, sorry.

You know . . . people have been institutionalized for this sort of behavior.  :-*

At some point last week, the official David Selby web site was overhauled with an updated news page, credits list, etc. You can access it via the link banner below.

Maybe now it will be updated more often.  ::)

Watched bits and pieces of CBS at 75 tonight.

John Harkins (Horace Gladstone) showed up in a scene from Mary Tyler Moore as the priest as they bid a fond farewell to Chuckles.

Dennis Patrick (Paul Stoddard) showed up in a series of clips from Dallas centering on the Who Shot JR? storyline.

No sign of John Karlen at the table where the cast of Cagney and Lacey was seated, but I wasn't watching very closely, and I don't know what clip(s) were featured.

David Selby wasn't in the clip from Falcon Crest. I'm never watching CBS again.  >:(

You know, all the backwards name stuff hanging around reminds me of Mr. Mxyzptlk on Superman. Could never say the guy's name forwards, so the idea of getting him to pronounce it backwards seemed quite far fetched to me.  ::)

If we trick IronBitch or IronBastard into saying their names backwards, will the forum go back to normal?  :P

Bullet tags have always been in the YABBC listing.  I never used them before either, but the codes are pretty self-explanatory.  It's the last box in the top row.

Until now I think MsCriseyde and I have been the only ones who've used them. I love them because they're very useful when you want to emphasize a list of items/explanations/etc.  [smlyg]

I think my brain now works in bulleted lists. I never really used them much until I got roped into teaching business writing. For that, you use them all the time. Now I think it borders on the impossible for me to generate a document that doesn't have a bulleted list in it somewhere. When you force someone's reading to rely more on vertical positioning, the person tends to remember and distinguish between your points more clearly.

Since I have no point here, I didn't use bullets.  ;D

This is probably pointing out the obvious, but . . .

You do not have to be the copyright owner to report a bootleg item being sold on eBay. I know for a fact that this is the case with selling copies of movies on VHS that were never actually released on video.

If all people who see these items do is shake their heads in disgust and/or post on other forums, they will continue to turn up on eBay.

This page lists eBay's policies regarding bootleg items:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/bootlegs.html

At the bottom of the page, there is a link to report an item that is in violation of this policy. You will need the item number, and you will have to log in with your username and password.

Getting the Seizure DVD yanked shouldn't be too hard since the seller stupidly mentions that it is a DVD-R, though this person thinks s/he is being clever by spelling out the syllables rather than typing the letters.

Usually, it only takes 24-48 hours to get the item removed.

I see in the true spirit of the weekend that 450 women gathered on the main concourse of Grand Central at 3 am today to pose nude for a human sculpture / photography project.

Who nude?  ;D

You can read about it here.

Since I originally posted that message, the mBuzzy site has been reconfigured over copyright and filesharing issues. That's what the error is all about.

If they still offer the option of uploading your own MIDI file and having them convert it to a ringtone that you can then access via the site, that would be the way to still get a DS ringtone.
