For anyone who's not checked out Craig Hamrick's Dark Shadows Online site lately, there are a couple of new items of interest.

He's posted an image of the forthcoming Angelique bobble head, and he has photos taken this month of Nancy Barrett and Sally Struthers as they performed at a New York home for the elderly. He also mentions that Barrett is preparing a new musical show for the upcoming Festival.

"The Romance," David's episode of The Waltons, will air on the Hallmark Channel on Tuesday, March 30, at 10:00am ET. Thanks to PatrickM of the Central Florida Dark Shadows Fan Club for posting this information on another forum.

David's character is noteworthy among fans of The Waltons because he is the only man other than Olivia Walton's husband who kisses her during the course of the entire series. Waltons creator Earl Hamner was also behind Falcon Crest, which featured David as Richard Channing.

Screen grabs of this episode are available on my David Selby site by visiting the TV Schedule page and clicking on The Waltons link.

I got my Barnabas bobble head at the fest for about $30 US.  Thought they had those on the regular MPI website.  If not, I'd probably call or e-mail them to see if they are for separate sale.[/color][/size]

The only bobblehead they offer separately via the web site at the moment is the werewolf. It'll set you back $29.98.

So I guess they only offer the latest in the series.

Thanks, MB. You're right. It's not a Netscape specific issue because the site stats clearly show Netscape users accessing the slideshow images.

I got some screen grabs from this episode when it aired several months ago. If you're interested, click here.

But, of course, nothing stops her from dying her hair darker, or even from the show completely departing from DC's "dream" governess with long dark hair. (Though, if the latter is the case, I can already foresee the conniption fits some "purists" in fandom are going to have!  [lghy])

Ok, I'll try to deal with the hair, but, if she doesn't wear sleeveless dresses, they can count me out.  [smrtasb]

Perhaps people felt the movie was going to be a hachet job like the one NBC did on "Three's Company". If it was, I can't say I blame them for not tuning in...

They did try to preserve some of the casting from the Three's Company film to some extent. Suzanne Somers and Farrah Fawcett-Majors had the same agent, Jay Bernstein, and both were engaged in contract disputes with networks while Fred Silverman was the head man at their particular network. Though Silverman is played by different actors, Jay Bernstein is portrayed by Wallace Langham in both movies.

Caught a segment about the movie on this morning's Today show. The actress who plays Kate Jackson really seems to have her voice down.

The Official David Selby Web Site reports that David Selby will deliver the commencement address and receive an honorary doctorate during spring graduation ceremonies at West Virginia University.

David already holds BS and MA degrees from WVU and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University. (These are all earned degrees, not honorary degrees.)

The official site includes a link to the commencement section of the WVU web site with specific details about the time and location of the event as well as information about ordering a videotape of the event.

From what I gather, this was her first appearance in the series, and it's a little odd to see her performance if you're only familiar with her work on FC because she's doing an accent.

The back-to-back episodes that SoapNet showed today ended with Delia still in the hospital, so I assume that Wandrey will appear again.

As far as I know, this episode is from 1977. Donna Wandrey plays Dr. Meyers. Ilene Kristen, who now appears on One Life to Live, plays Delia, who is about to miscarry her child thereby possibly ruining her plans to marry Patrick Ryan. Ana-Alicia, who went on to some steamy scenes with David Selby on Falcon Crest, portrays Alicia Nieves, an aide at the hospital.

Donna Wandrey looks very Julia Hoffman here. She even gets to administer a sedative. Frankly, I would've preferred to see her slap Delia.  ;D

Calendar Events / Announcements '04 I / Donna Wandrey on Ryan's Hope

Donna Wandrey is on SoapNet as I type this appearing in an episode of Ryan's Hope as a doctor. I snagged a few screen grabs of the first few minutes. I'll post them later.

In the new movie Secret Window, Johnny Depp plays horror writer Mort Rainey, but every time I've seen the trailer over the past week or so, it sounds like the announcer is saying Mark Rainey. The first time I saw it, I thought Mark had done pretty good for himself to have Depp portraying him on screen.  [clap]

Then I find out that I just heard it wrong.   [crazy]

Thanks for this link, Criseyde. These captures were really fascinating to see.  I recall seeing a clipping about this project when I was looking through Mr. Selby's file some years back at Lincoln Center and being curious just what it was.

Glad you liked them. Amazon has the movie on VHS or DVD, but, if you just want to watch it rather than buy it, NetFlix carries it. They also carry a hard to find indie film that David's son Jamison did called One Take.

Because it's not ON Amtrak, Pepe.....it's on the Metro-North commuter line....out of Grand Central Station....probably doesn't even take half an hour to get to Tarrytown from there.  [vryevl]

Rumor has it that this particular line has helped Sheenasma to overcome late night cheesecake cravings on a few occasions.  ;D
