Ew?  [tngg]

Umm . . . yeah. I may have to go vegetarian after seeing this.  ;D

I think his makeup person should be tarred and feathered.  <sigh>

There are many people involved with this film who are deserving of that fate.  ::)

David's scenes are funny and his character gets the last bit in the film, but you have to sit through a lot of really bad stuff to get to these moments.

There's a copy of the Larva commercial on the News page of my David Selby site in Windows Media Player format.  ;)

All NBC/Universal networks will air a fundraising program for victims of the recent tsunami disaster on January 15. The premiere of Larva, starring David Selby as the evil Fletcher Odermatt, was originally scheduled on this date. It is now being postponed until January 22 at 9 pm ET.

One reviewer of the film Surviving Christmas remarked that David Selby looked "positively unwell" in the film. Here's your chance to decide for yourselves. I've posted screen grabs from the movie on my David Selby site.

The site has undergone a little bit of a facelift in the past week. Everything should be fully functional, but, if you encounter difficulties, please let me know via the site's Feedback page.

Channeling me is definitely a fate worse than death.  ;D

I've not managed to catch any ads for Larva because I've been busy retooling my web site. I think it's about as done as it's going to get.  ::)

The Goodlife Channel?

That's a new one on me.  And I thought CableVision had them all.

It used to be the Nostalgia Channel, then they decided to get "hip."  [santa_rolleyes]

Topcities is apparently having issues today. The only advice I can give you is to try later.  [santa_undecided]

But getting back to the real subject of this topic, I have yet to see this Borders ad. I guess I just don't watch the right channels.  :(

I've seen it on both E! and MSNBC, but I realize you probably don't watch that channel because of the MS part.  [santa_azn]

But the teacher in me wants to thrash you.

The teacher in me cannot comment since I keep sneaking over here in between grading final papers.  [santa_evil]

Truly frightening!  (I'm not gonna say a word about the scary hot pants, though.   [santa_lipsrsealed])

I suppose a phoenix could wear a firesuit instead . . .

In the first place, it doesn't sound like her. If you watch that portion of the video closely (which is much easier to do with Quicktime than with Windows Media Player), you can see that her mouth isn't even moving during the first portion of that phrase. Unless KLS has turned ventriloquist, I don't think it's her.  [santa_grin]

Here's a blurb from Adweek for anyone who's interested in more info on this ad campaign.

Well, the truth is I had heard the commercial on the tv while I was out of the room a couple of times, and I thought it was a commercial for one of those movie trivia games, so, when I finally saw it, I was glued to the screen more to figure out what exactly the ad was for than to see who was in it. When I caught the glimpse of KLS, I figured that I was imagining it as a result of overexposure to DS.   [santa_cheesy]

As long as I don't start seeing Roger Davis' face in a potato chip, I think I'll be ok.  [santa_evil]

Calendar Events / Announcements '04 II / KLS in Borders Holiday Commercial

Blink and you'll miss her. I saw this on television earlier today and wasn't sure it was KLS until I found the commercial on the web. The commercial features a montage of scenes with people quoting from movies, books, and songs to demonstrate how they create a universal language. KLS doesn't actually speak, but the camera is on her face for a couple of seconds. You can view the Borders holiday commercial online here.
