Thinking that he is her last hope, a desperate Maggie resorts to the milk and cookies ploy to lure Santa Claus to her cell to save her.

Explain this color-by-numbers thing to me again, David. I don't understand.  ;D

According to his book, In And Out Of The Shadows, In 1990, David Selby was in L.A. Theatre Center's production of The Crucible.

He's actually been in it twice. Pre-DS, when he was at the Barter Theatre in VA, he was in their production. He was John Proctor for the LA Theatre Center production and won a Drama-Logue award. I'm not sure what part he played at the Barter.

Just a quick side note that this broadcast will be preceded at 8:00 pm by a special presentation of The Crucible. This broadcast will not replace Pack of Lies.

(To honor Arthur Miller, LATW have made their productions of Broken Glass and The Crucible available online in their entirety. Click here. )

Playwright Arthur Miller has passed away.

Over the course of their acting careers, several members of the DS cast have appeared in productions of his plays.

Playbill Online has posted a photo retrospective of Miller's work. They have included a photo from a 1979 production of The Price featuring Mitch Ryan. Click here to view it.

Geez, it's hard to keep your place on the teleprompter when you have to read it in a mirror.

Another addition regarding the book signing . . .

The SG update mentioned pre-orders as a possibility. The Spokane B&N is indeed accepting pre-orders for the book, so, if you plan to attend the signing, you can call ahead to ensure that the store will have a copy of My Mother's Autumn waiting for you.

In a recent radio interview for Sci-Fi Overdrive, David Selby stated that Jamison Selby had been approached to write another radio play. Beyond that comment and what's in SG, I don't think any other details have been made available.

The interview is available at http://www.scifioverdrive.com by clicking on What's On? and scrolling down to Jan. 15.

The LA Theatre Works production of Pack of Lies, with David Selby as Peter Kroger, will air on 89.3 KPCC FM this Saturday at 10:00 pm (local time). Following the broadcast, an archived version of the complete program will be available online for a week at the KPCC web site. The site also includes a brief description of the play.

Just wanted to add that My Mother's Autumn, in addition to being available via DavidSelby.com and Shadowgram, is now being sold through the Barnes and Noble web site.

Patti, you might be interested to know that Selby's role in Black Hole, the new SCI FI Channel movie he filmed at the end of last year, is not a villain.

As for keeping busy with work, the man hardly sits on his duff. I've been doing a Selby site in some form or another since early 1999. At that time, there wasn't a lot to keep up with beyond sporadic theater roles and personal appearances and a brief television role here and there. Since early 2003, Selby has filmed roles in Surviving Christmas, The Affair, Shadow of Fear, Larva, and Black Hole with another role in End Game scheduled for the end of the month. That's six movies in the span of two years, and three of those have become widely available just since November.

Just how many more movies were you wanting him to do per year, victoriawinters?  ;D

Have someone who knows what they're doing go (URL) for instructions on how to get rid of it ASAP.

Spyware like this is really getting to be a pain in the butt, and sometimes even following these instructions won't completely eliminate the problem. The easiest way to avoid a lot of this crap is to use Firefox. If you want a good program for cleaning crap like this off your pc, I'd suggest Webroot's Spy Sweeper. (Unfortunately, for folks using Norton's Antivirus and Internet Security, they have been really crappy with detecting, preventing, and cleaning up spyware intrusions.)

Patti, if you're going to switch to a dialup service and decide to go with Earthlink, they have a version of Spy Sweeper included in their software.

David Selby will be reading from My Mother's Autumn and signing copies of that poetry book at the Barnes & Noble Eastside on Thursday, March 3, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Spokane, Washington. The store address and phone number are posted on DavidSelby.com.
