At the rate they're going, it will probably be another week before they get it online for anyone who missed it.

This is what I get for shooting off my mouth.  ;D

The archived version of the show is now available online. You'll need Windows Media Player to listen. Go to this URL:

http://www.scifizoneradio.com/listen.html#archives

Click on June 4, 2005. (Don't ask me why they didn't list Selby as part of this show. Who the heck is John Coker, and why should I care?  >:D)

Some of the original advertising has been edited out, so David's interview starts at about 25 minutes into the program.

I haven't listened to the archived broadcast all the way through, but, if it's like the original, there will be a lengthy interruption for a movie ticket giveaway.

Sorry, no hair touching.

Nonetheless, if anyone's interested in seeing some screen captures of Roger Davis from his guest spot on Wonder Woman, I've got some on my DS Alumni Movies site. Click here.

Thanks, Midnite.  ;)

Because they wound up recording the interview in advance, it aired a little bit later in the program than originally anticipated. One of the hosts also referred to David as "David Shelby" during the opening.  >:(

They're rather behind on archiving the broadcasts on the SciFi Zone web site. At the rate they're going, it will probably be another week before they get it online for anyone who missed it.

I've got some screen grabs from this episode on my Selby site. They're here.

These were some of the first captures I ever made, and the quality isn't the greatest. The first two seasons of The Waltons are now available on DVD, but a release date for the third season, which includes David's episode, hasn't been announced yet.

Not sure if it's the same issue mscbyrk saw or not, but if anyone happens to have a copy of the 5/31 issue of SOD, please PM me. I'm trying to help someone track down the source of some bad information that was posted on a web site and attributed to this particular issue.

Thanks,
Criseyde

Sadly, though, the practice of sacrificing content for the sake of adding more ad dollars seems to be escalating - and not only during local time.

What's even worse is that some of the television series that are going to DVD are showing up in their syndicated format without any indication on the packaging, not in their original, unedited form.  :o

Calendar Events / Announcements '05 I / DS Alums on TV Land
« on: May 30, 2005, 05:27:56 PM »
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Warner Bros. Television, TV Land will air a marathon of Warner Bros. shows on the weekend of June 11-12.

Two episodes of Falcon Crest, which starred David Selby as Richard Channing, are included in the marathon.

"Ashes to Ashes," which originally aired in May 1984, will be shown at 12:00 am on Sunday, June 12. This was the cliffhanger episode of the third season. It involves a plane crash.

"Requiem," which originally aired in September 1984 as the first episode of the fourth season, will be shown at 2:00 am on Monday, June 13.

For the Kate Jackson fans, the first episode of Scarecrow and Mrs. King will air at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 11. It will be repeated at 1:00 am on Sunday, June 12.

Dennis Patrick appears in the Dallas episode airing at midnight on Sunday, June 12. "A House Divided" is the episode in which J.R. gets shot.

I've probably missed some other DS connections. The complete schedule can be found here.

There's been a change in the way SciFi  Zone handles their online broadcasts. The live broadcast is no longer available directly from their site. Instead, the link will now send you to the AM 540 WFLA web site where you will need to register (for free) before you can access live material.

Thought I'd mention this now so that anyone who plans to listen live can get the registration business taken care of in advance and also so that there's a direct link to the broadcast in this thread.  :)

I should probably also mention that my DS Alumni Movies site has also moved. The new address is:

Criseyde's David Selby Site has moved. The new URL is http://www.ldrweb.com/davidselby.

Please adjust your links and bookmarks. The old web site will be removed within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks,

The official David Selby site has announced another My Mother's Autumn reading and signing in Florida. This one will be June 8 from 7-9 pm at the Barnes & Noble in Aventura, which is located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Specific details are available at:

http://www.davidselby.com

Some additional info . . .

I've been told that the interview should air approximately a half hour into the show (10:30 PM ET) and should last approximately a half hour.

1063
The official Selby site reports that David Selby will appear on the June 4 broadcast of the SciFi Zone radio show. (This is the same program that featured members of the Central Florida DS Fan Club earlier this year.) The program airs live between 10 pm and midnight ET on AM stations in Missouri and Florida. You can also listen live via their web site. After the initial live broadcast, you can listen to an archived version on the site.

Meanwhile, I need to think of something worthwhile to do with the $5 I saved by being an early bird.

Well, since this year's Fest charity is supposed to be the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, you could donate the difference there.  ;)
