the only time he was on stage was during the radio play and no photography was allowed.

He was on stage with everyone else following Nancy Barrett's performance on Sunday and photography was allowed.  :)

MsCriseyde has some FABULOUS grabs from the miniseries in her site's gallery, but none of the ice cube scene.

I wore out that part of my tape.  >:D

That's not just an article. There's video from the newscast.  ;D

Now the Welcome page also includes a link to the RSSfwd service, which allows you to receive site update information via email. RSSfwd checks the site for updates every 2 hours and will send you an email message if new material has been added. The service is not without its flaws, but, if it works with your email service, it's a nice way to stay up to date.

RSSfwd proved to be a pain in the butt because of AOL's treatment of its messages as spam. DavidSelby.com has now been updated to include links to several services that allow users to receive XML update notices along with a different XML-to-email service, Bloglet, whose messages seem to fare better at not being treated as spam.

If you successfully subscribed to RSSfwd updates, you'll continue to receive them. If you had problems, you may want to try out the new Bloglet subscription box. If that still doesn't work, you can bookmark and periodically check the Welcome page of the site for updates.

I think Julia was the all-purpose doctor sort of like Stokes was the all-purpose college professor. Apparently, her MD made her a specialist in whatever was convenient for the plot at the time just as Stokes' position at the university made him a specialist in anything involving the occult or any fancy book learnin'.

I don't remember the oxygen tent scene, but I do get a charge out of seeing Julia take someone's blood pressure in lightning fast time, often with the cuff and no stethoscope. I suppose that tends to pass without notice now that we have these fancy electric gizmos you can buy at any drug store that only require the cuff.

Images of David Selby as Martin Swanson in Lady Boss, the miniseries based on the Jackie Collins novel, have been added to the Photo Gallery.

Information about David Selby's scheduled appearance at the West Virginia Book Festival has been added to the Upcoming Appearances section of the News page.

All new material is accessible from the What's New section when you first enter the site:

If you encounter problems with any areas of the site, please contact me via the Feedback page so that I can resolve the issue.

Enjoy!

Calendar Events / Announcements '05 II / Selby Appearance in October
« on: July 08, 2005, 05:43:41 AM »
DavidSelby.com, the official David Selby site, is reporting that David will appear at the West Virginia Book Festival in Charleston in October to read from a forthcoming book.

Also wanted to mention that the official site has been posting site update information via RSS feed for some time. If you're into the whole blogging thing, then you know what this is, and you probably already know several methods for subscribing to site updates.

Calendar Events / Announcements '05 II / Selby in Shadow of Fear
« on: July 05, 2005, 08:20:35 PM »
Shadow of Fear, the independent film that David Selby referred to working on at the 2003 Fest, makes its cable debut this month on Showtime networks. His part is small, but the movie has a strong ensemble cast -- James Spader, Peter Coyote, Matt Davis, Aidan Quinn, Robin Tunney, Alice Krige, and Lacey Chabert. As with Selby's other recent film project, End Game, Shadow of Fear was filmed in Spokane, Washington.

A complete list of airdates for July is posted on DavidSelby.com.

Screen grabs from the film are posted on my David Selby site.

Try not to blink during the ballroom scene, and you'll get to see him dance.  ;)

I've finally posted some photos from this event on my David Selby site.

Many thanks to members of the Central Florida Dark Shadows Fan Club, particularly Angela, CynD, LdyAnne, and Patrick M, for providing images and reports from this event.

I'm sure that the members of the Central Florida fan club will have plenty to share about the Orlando signing. They're having a club meeting today, so those who had to travel and spend the night get more bang for their buck.  ;D

In the meantime, here's a little cell phone gem courtesy of CynD:
