The article is no longer available on the KnoxNews web site, but you can access Google's cached version of the page.

The Official David Selby Web Site is reporting that David will be reading his poetry and signing copies of his books in December in Springfield, Missouri.

The site lists this event as being held at the Heritage Bookstore. Since there are apparently two locations for this store in Springfield, I'm not sure which one this is supposed to be.

Calendar Events / Announcements '03 II / Donna McKechnie in New Photo Book
« on: November 17, 2003, 07:19:52 PM »
For anyone looking for a gift for the theatre fan, you may want to check out The Sweater Book: Hundreds of People...One Common Thread, a collection of photos by Stephen Mosher. Two-thirds of his proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to AIDS-related charities.

The book features photos of various Broadway and NYC personalities wearing the same sweater. Playbill Online's web site explains the story behind the book and includes a few photos from the book featuring, among others, Donna McKechnie.

If you're interested in the book and can't find it in your local bookstore, Amazon.com sells it.

Calendar Events / Announcements '03 II / CBS at 75
« on: November 03, 2003, 05:29:15 AM »
Watched bits and pieces of CBS at 75 tonight.

John Harkins (Horace Gladstone) showed up in a scene from Mary Tyler Moore as the priest as they bid a fond farewell to Chuckles.

Dennis Patrick (Paul Stoddard) showed up in a series of clips from Dallas centering on the Who Shot JR? storyline.

No sign of John Karlen at the table where the cast of Cagney and Lacey was seated, but I wasn't watching very closely, and I don't know what clip(s) were featured.

David Selby wasn't in the clip from Falcon Crest. I'm never watching CBS again.  >:(

Calendar Events / Announcements '03 II / Scary Stories Selby Style
« on: October 12, 2003, 07:50:56 AM »
DIY (Do It Yourself Network) is rebroadcasting an episode of DIY Halloween that originally aired last year featuring a segment on how to tell scary stories with David Selby.

More information is on my site:

http://www.ldrservicesonline.com/davidselbysite

Contrary to what Bobubas may say about David's storytelling tips, he doesn't begin every scary story with "Once I met this girl named Criseyde . . ."
::)

. . . only the more frightening ones.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here or elsewhere, but this might be of interest.

Comics journalist Peter Sanderson wrote a two-piece feature on the 2003 Dark Shadows Festival for the FilmForce web site. Sanderson has been a regular Fest attendee for some time.

You'll have to click past some ads to access the full text of each piece.
