From Muppetwikia.com

In the 2011 movie, The Muppets, Kermit the Frog looks after a mansion in Beverly Hills, California. Miss Piggy had it built in the hopes that they would live together and raise a family. According to The Muppets: The Movie Junior Novel, Kermit actually lives in a nearby pond, and just comes by once a week to check the mail and clean the pool filters.

A private residence in Encino, California served as the exterior of Kermit's mansion. For the interiors, the filmmakers used Greystone Mansion of Beverly Hills, built in 1928 as a gift from oil magnate Edward L. Doheny to his son's family (and later sold to the city of Beverly Hills in 1965).

I tried to find pictures but couldn't.  There's a scene where some of the characters find Kermit a the house and convince him to get the gang back together again.  Kermit sings to paintings of his friends down a hallway of wood-paneled walls and black and white tile floor that I KNOW was used in the show.  I thought it was pretty cool.

Forgive me if this has been covered already, but I'm facebook friends with Lara's daugher Caiti and she said on her page that Lara would be leaving for London next week to film her cameo in the new movie!!  So I'm guessing that maybe a few of the other actors will be involved as well??  I can't wait to see it!

HOW COOL!  I would love to see that.

Janet I'm so sorry for your loss.  You and Nik were so fun to hang out with the last time I saw you.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met him once when he came to a cabaret show Richard Halpern was doing in LA.  I had heard of him thru other fans but being only 17 hadn't really experienced any of his work.  When my dad introduced me to him I said "Oh yeah!"  he looked so shocked that I would have heard of him.  My thoughts are with him, his family and friends.

He was very sweet.  I got to visit with him when he was flying from LA to New York in 2000.  He was flying the airline I was working for at the time so I went to visit with him on my lunch break.  He wasn't feeling very well and as I walked him to his connecting gate, he took my hand for support.  I asked him if I was walking too fast for him.  He said "No my dear.  The faster I walk the straighter I walk."  I never got to experience the wild sense of humor I'm told he had.  Probably becuase I was still a young girl and he was a polite southern gentleman.  I've been thinking about him alot lately as I've been converting my dad's convention tapes to DVD.  He was a wonderful man.

Happy birthday girl!  I hope your day was as wonderful as mine!

Oh thats a shame.  My husband and I really enjoyed that series.  It was sort of like Sex and the City for couples.

Oh really? What did he say? Tell me more! I saw him signing autographs on Saturday night and he threw a bit of a tantrum down there as I was passing by. "no more! I'm done! Finished!" he was shouting at his long line. then he stormed off.

Yeah I was still sitting with him when he did that.  I took that as him just being dramatic and silly.  He did finish signing for everyone and went upstairs to get ready for the banquet.  He never stormed.

That surprises me.  Karlen actually struck me as being more cheerful than usual this year.  Although usually a wisecracker, in recent years he's tended to be a bit morose and leaned more toward dark humor.  I'm sorry to hear about his friend dying. :(

I agree.  I spoke to John on Saturday and sat with him during autographs on Sunday.  He seemed in great spirits for most of the weekend.  Until things were winding down Sunday night.  People were already heading into the banquet and he saw that there were still people waiting for autographs.  He finished signing but was grumpy about it.  He also refused to sit at his table during the banquet.  The last fest he was at 2 years ago, he also spent zero time at his table.  I haven't heard any reaction from this year, but two years ago people were very unhappy with him for not sitting at his table.

Wow congrats ProfStokes!  When is the big day?  I can't believe you didn't tell me!
