Now THIS is art.  (Forget about that doll video).

Title for video:  "If I have just One Life To Live, let me live it as a blonde"

3
"When has a U.S. TV show shown older characters with grey hair, naked and enjoying a vigorous romp and loud orgasms?"

Um......Holy SHHH......
Naked love scenes??

And I'd recently been kicking around the idea of getting rid of all these movie channels to save some money.

I guess THAT idea is down the tubes!
Better stock up on a batch of fresh videotapes.  Anyone know if Best Buy still carries them?

Actually, there's an obvious alternative with DS storyline connections that isn't even on the poll - having a Fest in England.

Now THERE'S a practical suggestion.  Who in hell could afford to go?

Trenton, NJ
There's absolutely nothing to do there and it's really gross so it might be a lot cheaper.

....."dress for dinner because we expect a certain standard in our GUESTS," is WAY  better than any drug you can get on the street, IMNSHO..."

LOL.  I don't know if I'd go that far.

What is Miss Hoffman wearing that is so inappropriate?
This strikes me as funny actually, because everyone at Collinwood was always dressed for dinner at any time of the day or night (something I found intriguing at the age of 12).

I'm wondering....is there anyone on here who "dresses for dinner"??

Tape Stuck in Machine For Over A Week
Favorite 1840 Quentin Scenes On It

I need Quentin badly.  Can't watch any DS.
For some reason over the last couple of weeks, I've wanted to watch Quentin real badly.  Something like this hasn't happened to me in a LONG time.  So what happens?  Something goes wrong with the VCR.  My tape with the last few 1840 episodes on it is stuck -- won't come out.  When you turn on the machine it shuts off immediately.

I told my husband about the problem over a week ago.  He hasn't done a damn thing.  VCR is unhooked and sitting on the floor over here.  Thanks a lot.  If I were the suspicious type, I might think he hasn't fixed it on PURPOSE -- just so I can't watch Quentin.

Pissed off?  Yeess....but why Stokes?  (I'll tell ya why)
When his stupid water distiller stopped working over a week ago, I spent 2 hours taking it apart (in the middle of the night, I might add) trying to figure out what was keeping the fan from turning -- trying to fix it so he wouldn't have to send it out.  Did I succeed?  No, but I made every effort I could.  Does he do anything to get my tape out safe and sound, and get a working VCR hooked up in here for me?  NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I've never opened up a VCR.  Don't know anything about them.
Ya know what's on the tape?  That scene in the jail where Quentin is talking to Barnabas about taking care of Tad and how he isn't afraid, etc.  (Oh my God, calm down kid) (pant pant)
Didn't think I had any hormones left at this point but apparently I was wrong.

I JUST WANT TO WATCH QUENTIN TONIGHT.  Is that too much to ask?  Ya know what I feel like doing?  Going out to Best Buy and buying a couple of 1897 DVD's and a couple of 1840 DVD's and CHARGING them.  Hell, there's even some 1970 Parallel Time stuff I'd like to watch -- like around the time of Quentin's breakdown.

I haven't seen much DS in quite a long time.  And it's HALLOWEEN for crying out loud!
I was so desperate I watched HODS on TCM last week at midnight.  First time I've ever watched that movie from beginning to end.  Oy vey.

Well, thanks for letting me rant and rave.  Feel a little bit better (but not much).

Signed,
Desperate For The Q-Man

Why I bother with this, I don't know.  Don't take what I said and twist and turn it to mean something else.

Here's the bottom line:
I just find it disrespectful to use someone's death PLUS someone else's failure to note that person's partner in a death notice, as a jumping-off point to preach and politicize.  Then it goes into someone else's personal problems of being persecuted by DS fans five years ago.  I was under the impression that these different types of political issues were off limits here.

It also struck me as unfair to make negative assumptions about someone because they didn't put any survived-by info in a newsletter.  That's why I didn't think it appropriate to make inferences in a public manner.  No one knows what is in her heart or why or why not Craig's partner was not mentioned.

For the record:  I feel a person's partner/soul-mate - whatever you want to call them, should always be noted in an obituary in the same way anyone's loved ones are noted.  That does not mean however, that I would jump to conclusions about the writer if they were to omit something.

That's all.  Now if it makes some of you feel better to preach at me, or make certain assumptions about me, (someone you don't even know), then by all means, go to it.  This is the very thing you are decrying.
