I believe there was a DS Fest held in Dallas sometime in the mid-80s. Did anyone here attend, or does anyone have any memories related to that event? I'd love to know exactly when and where it was held, what was featured, which DS personal were in attendance, what the turn-out was like, etc. Any and all rememberences will be greatly appreciated.

In 1987, there was a book published in a limited edition by DARK SHADOWS Festival Publications titled THE HISTORY OF DARK SHADOWS 1966 - 1967. I seem to remember hearing, a few years back, that it was going to be reprinted under the title DARK SHADOWS: THE FIRST YEAR. Does anyone know if anything ever came of this?
Also, the copyright page of the '87 edition lists the DS Festival Publications address as a P.O. box in Fort Worth, TX. Does anyone remember exactly where this book was pressed? Or do you know someone who might know?
Another book I'm wondering about is DARK SHADOWS: THE COMIC STRIP BOOK from Pomegranate Press. Again, I thought I heard there was another book coming out that was going to reproduce the complete syndicated strip. Is my memory playing tricks on me?
One more, another from PomPress, the DARK SHADOWS PROGRAM GUIDE. Does anyone know how many pages it is? What are its dimensions? I've heard it referred to as a booklet. How is it bound? Is it illustrated, and are the cover and pages glossy or matte, etc?
Any help appreciated. Thanks!

A teacher has decided to spend his summer vacation watching DS, in it's entirety, from beginning to end, and blog about it in real time.
I think he's trying to do the whole thing in one 45-day span, which amounts to about 10 or 11 hours of viewing per day. He's on around day 33 or 34 now.
His ongoing commentary is great, and at the end of each day he posts a YouTube video discussing the days events, his thoughts, critiques, about how he's "holding up", etc.
I've read his first week's worth of blogging, and it's great stuff. Very insightful, very funny, and it's really interesting to hear from the perspective of someone taking it in huge swathes.

I'd love to see a thread in the Mausaleum dedicated to archiving all of the trailers, TV spots, featurettes, talk show segments, etcetera, that you've so painstakingly captured for us, MB. I imagine I'm not the only cousin who has avoided many of them in fear of spoilers, and wading through the hundreds of posts in the "in production" thread in order to relocate the them is a daunting task for some of us laymen :]
I know your work here is never done, and much if it is thankless, but if the mood ever strikes, I think it could be a very cool addition to the board.
