And just as I thought! Here is a link to a CNN story about some archival photos recently discovered at the offices of Condé Nast (publishers of Cosmopolitan, among other mags). They're all great, but be sure to check out no. 8 to see a very dishy young Joan Bennett--before she started coloring her hair, I believe. If you're lucky enough to be in London, you can check out the photos in person.

O mighty guardians of this Web site, my apologies if I've posted this in the wrong spot. If you think it should be moved elsewhere, I bow to your superior knowledge and wisdom.  [hall2_wink]

Just want to say how much I enjoy the OS frame grabs, especially because today's slide show includes one of my faves. This one's from episode 1038, when Barnabas calls Julia his "dear friend." I don't have access to the videos or DVDs, but I remember yelling at the screen, "Kiss her, Barnabas, kiss her!"   [ghost_grin]

The first few episodes of season 2 of Ragged Isle have been uploaded, and so far I'm still enjoying it! The series won 3 Indie Soap Opera awards: for best Web series, best cinematography, and best director of a drama (Barry Dodd).

Still seems to be at least partly an homage to Dark Shadows. They have introduced a new character with a last name that will be familiar to friends of DS. The opening voiceovers include "My name is Vicki Burke" and also include at least one sentence that starts "There are those who...."

I heard this from NPR on WNYC this morning: "Dark Shadows": The Birth of the Modern TV Vampire. I posted it in the giant movie thread, but I think it got lost. When you get to the link, scroll down--it's the third story from the bottom. Enjoy!
