To me the ending was a great soap opera cliff hanger ending.

Five of us ending up going tonight. All but one were OS fans. We all liked the movie and I liked it better the second time. The theater was about 1/4 full. As we were leaving one of our group saw a friend in a long line to getting into the theater. She was going to see DS. Here's to a strong second weekend.

I like Burton's Batman a lot than the Dark Knight. I'll see The Dark Knight Raises when it comes to cable, maybe.

I hope WB understands how important the fans of the OS have been for the movie. Many of us have seen it many times. One guy on FB says he's seen it 7 times only because he wants more DS movies. I'm going back this afternoon with my neice, her mom and my wife.

I wanted more from it but I did like it. Here's hoping for a director's cut on DVD.

Well this is one male that hasn't and has no plans to see The Advengers. If I never see another "superhero" movie in my life it won't upset me.

Also keep in mind that The Advengers opened in more theaters than any other movie. Unless all movies open in the same number of theaters it's like compairing apples to oranges.

I don't want DS to be Twilight or Airplane. I hated Airplane. Of the two I think I'd rather it be like Twilight and I'm no Twilight fan.

9
I think a good adult supernatural love story could work very well and get great box office. No one would say that Ghost was anything like Twilight and a straight DS wouldn't have to be anything like Twilight.

10
I just want to point out that "box office mojo" says Marvel's The Avenger opened in 4,349 theaters while DS will open in 3,700 theaters. Even if DS sales out every set for every showing it would be hard to beat their The Avengers numbers. But we can hope.

It was cool seeing it on TV even if it was shortened.

On May 10th the channel G4 with have DS on "Attack Of The Show", it's an hour long show but I have no idea how much of it will be about DS.

I'm just glad there are some here who do know what it is.

I was thinking about something today. I think we would all say that Mr. Frid saved the OS way back when.

I've noticed that on Facebook and other sites fans who said they wouldn't see the new movie and now saying they will go because it is Mr. Frid's last film.

Could it be that just as he saved the OS he may now save the movie. Could those fans that were not going to see it put it over the top?

Just a thought.

I hope it didn't come across as disrepectful, I didn't mean for to.

These photos are from a vampire called "Suck" that my neice gave me. She said it was vampires and Alice Copper and she knows I like both. It's a lot better than I expected. The house in the photo is the vampires lair.

The second photo is inside the lair and is included because of the candelabra.

They both remind me of DS. It's a vampire rock show Lou Reed, Alex Lifeson of Rush, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Dave Foley and Malcolm McDowell star. McDowell plays Eddie Van Helsig.
