Good for you, David, for standing up and telling your story. Going public and putting pressure on those in power is the only way to bring about change. As a retired counselor, may I also suggest that NAMI is a similar organization for supporting the rights of the mentally ill. They do a fabulous job at working with peers and engaging in group planning to demand that the mentally ill be treated with dignity and respect. All of us who are disenfranchised- LGBT-the disabled-the minority groups; they all need to keep the pressure on so that we are all treated like every other member of this society with all the rights, responsibilities and respect. My thanks to you for your courage and your part in this.

Thank you so much for the Birthday Wishes! You all make turning 61 (cough cough) a lot easier to bear!
I have been off for a long time and have 31 pages to catch up on (gasp) but am very happy to be back among the DS folks once more. Y'all are The Best!!! [cheer]

I'm with you, David--I hope soaps revive someday too. Guess I first got hooked with DS as a senior in high school. I've watched ABC soaps All My Children, One Life To Live & General Hospital for at least 15-20 years. In fact, the first time I saw AMC, Erica Kane was  just out of high school! I blame DS for my soap addiction--thanks, DS! [ghost_wink]

I got the warning also, but another friend said it  was NOT a virus, but simply a bad application. There is a note on snopes.com about it. At any rate if you don't use the application of "fan check" you don't need to worry.
