Not to change the subject here but I had a thought that I don't know if anyone else had brought it up before, if so, let me apologize in advance. I had this great idea about the first DS film taking place 200 years ago when Barnabas first became a vampire. The first movie would end with Barnabas' father chaining him in his coffin. Then in the sequel, they could call it "Dark Shadows II, Barnabas Unchained"  . Boy that would be way too cool. What do you guys think? [snow_blush]

Current Talk '08 II / Re: Knowning all you do about ghost, would you?

Scientifically speaking, Your spirit is energy. It is a scientific fact that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So when you die your spirit does not.  Does this not in itself prove that ghosts exist? [Ghost00] You can't argue with science!

That's great! I knew that there had to be another example. I just wish I could remember what the episode was where Elizabeth was wearing the outfit that Caroline was wearing. Oh well, I know that it is some where between 1 and 165.

You know I have really never paid much attention to what most of the actors wear on DS. Today however I was watching, I believe episode 165 and I noticed that the outfit that Caroline was wearing was also worn by Elizabeth in a previous episode. It was a suit with a matching top, coat and skirt with little diamond shaped patterns in it. Has anyone of you ever noticed something like that before on DS? If it happened once I'm sure that it had happened before.

I must admit this is my favorite thread to watch. You just can't find any info on the new DS movie anywhere else. I'm very happy that you guys are finding this stuff for us. [santa_thumb]

As a child of the 60's, Famous Monsters of Film Land was my favorite magazine. I bought every issue that I could find. Going to the grocery store once a week and looking for my favorite magazine, Famous Monsters of Film Land and any Dark Shadows books and comics was surely a thrill for me that I really looked forward to. Current Talk '08 II / Re: DS VS Star Trek? Why So Little Respect For DS?
« on: November 27, 2008, 11:10:30 AM »
This is a great topic and very interesting to mull over I must say.

In the 60's I wasn't much of a Star Trek fan but I was a huge DS fan. I think this was mainly because I was always fascinated more by the supernatural than by Science Fiction. The other kids did make fun of me because, "I watched Soap Opera's". But I didn't care what they said. I was also the only Elvis fan in the 5th grade. I was always different. But so what, I liked what I liked and I was just being me and I wasn't going to change for nobody because I was a happy kid.

I'm still the same today 40 years later. I'm still the only one that I know that likes Dark Shadows and Elvis. Today however I will watch the original Star Trek  series if nothing else is on. Mostly because I have a tendency to gravitate toward anything 60's, that was the happiest time of my life.

I'm really happy that I found this web site. At least I know that I'm not the only one in the world that is a DS fan. I think DS fans are special because there aren't as many of us as there are Star trek fans.
