Calendar Events / Announcements '09 II / DS re-entering the market place!
« on: November 30, 2009, 04:50:16 AM »
I was surprised and thrilled to see a DS dvd (a single dvd, not part of the series set, something about the Haunting of Collinwood and Quentin?) as well as a dvd of the remake 90's version at my local Walmart!  I live in a very small town and have never seen DS at Walmart before!  Woo-Hoo!

This was indeed a wonderful Halloween treat.  Thanks for sharing!

I can't believe that all soaps seem to be on the way out!  Reality TV rules these days, and I enjoy a few reality shows, but it looks like entertainment may come down to us all looking at ourselves in the mirror. 24 7  [ghost_wacko]

Miranda,

Nice to hear something more positive on the fest!!  It must have been amazing to see Lara and Jonathan together  --- oh I love that episode of Twlight Zone! [ghost_cool]

I have never been to a DS fest - so what has been the usual attendance number?  Just curious how many of us (folks with good taste)  there are and how numbers are translating to younger generations (yes I would hurry home from school to watch DS).

My 3 children have grown up hearing about and watching a few episodes.  My 27 year old daughter likes the show, my 20 year old son could care less, but my 19 year old daughter loves it too (we are watching an episode right now)  She and I had even talked about the Fest this year, but she had to get wisdow teeth out!

Thanks - it is nice to read about what is happening.  Enjoy!

No really seeing Joan Crawford's old hair, but then when I think about Joan Crawford all I remember are eyebrows!

Gothick - Thank you so much!  I can't believe that I had never seen this before.  You just made my day (having a rough one as my daughter had her 4 wisdom teeth out).

Safe journey to all those attending the festival.  I know you will have a ball - I am sooo jealous  - ONE of these days I hope to join you!

Wow, this was so "right on"!  I watch DS on dvd with my 18 year old and she and loves DS too, but I always try to point out when Vicky is wearing her peignors to entertain guests that that would have NOT been appropriate in those days - LOL.  First time I have posted in a long time but I always like to "visit".  I am still dreaming of going to a DS festival (My daughter and I were considering it but stuff happens!).  Maybe one of these days......

Always send the children outside to play after dark, especially if they have been acting strangely or you are worried about them.

Current Talk '07 II / Question about Collins descendants from 1795
« on: October 20, 2007, 08:55:19 PM »
I have a been a fan of DS since watching it as a child.  Recently I purchased the DVDs and even though I have seen it originally as well as on SCI- Fi, as I was watching the 1795 episodes, I suddenly started to wonder how could the Collins in the present be descendants of the Collins in 1795 since Barnabas was the only son, and Jerimiah had no children?  Are they all from Daniel Collins, Millicent's brother???  I don't remember any discussion about who were the parents /grandparents of Quentin... Thanks for any help on this - it is really bugging me!!
