[spoiler]I haven't seen his return in the Leviathan story yet[/spoiler]

[spoiler]You really can't go by his return during the Leviathan storyline. They took away much of the intrigue about him. And they committed some rather obvious inconsistencies: We heard it enough to know that Paul "left" Elizabeth eighteen years ago from 1966/67, making Carolyn a baby at the time. Yet when the Leviathans conjure up a "ghost" of Carolyn supposedly just as she looked the last time Paul saw her before he left, we get a girl about Amy's age. [/spoiler]

[spoiler]If only she knew that Quentin was her great-grandfather, she would move into that storage room in the West Wing and never leave.[/spoiler]

That reminds me of a line from one of these episodes (possibly this very one, but I'm too lazy too look it up). Anyway, [spoiler]David is complaining because Quentin talks to Amy on the phone but not to him, pointing out that "Quentin Collins is my ancestor!" Knowing what we know after seeing the entire series through, that line is pretty ironic. [/spoiler]

David and Amy's kiddie seance is cute!

Another great scene here between Chris and Amy that, I think, rivals the one where he visits her at Wyndcliff. It's really heartwrenching when she's begging to stay with him at least one night, then looks up at him and accuses, "You don't want me!" Then when she angrily shoves Chris off when he tries to hug her...

I agree that Chris and Carolyn make a cute couple. But, alas...

This episode is full of glorious firsts. Milestones, if you will - but I would NEVER presume to take over EmeraldRose's position as the Official Milestone Poster. But I can hardly contain my excitement! We're really getting into the good stuff here, in my opinion!

I'm still not sure if I would have liked Jeff staying in longer. I was pretty ready to get rid of him by the time he disappeared into the past. And I was pretty tired of hearing about him by the time he came back for Vicki. Although, you're right, it seems like they were really in a hurry to wrap it up and make way for the new stories. I'd like to know what they had originally planned to do with Vicki and Jeff. If they'd planned that far ahead...

As I was thinking about all this, I began to realize just how many would have been avoided (for better or worse) had Vicki and Jeff stuck around.
[spoiler]- If we still had Jeff, there would have been no Ned Stuart and, presumably, no Sabrina. Which would have been a blessing.
- No matter what they did with the character of Vicki (see below), she probably would have eventually been Barnabas' love interest again, eliminating the need for Roxanne. Could Vicki have possibly been a vampire in 1840? Oh my!
- That awful stunt with Jeff/Peter during the Leviathan storyline might never have happened. Think how much better that whole period of the show would have been...[/spoiler]

I wish we could have seen Alexandra come back as Victoria later on in the series. As most of us know, they did ask her to come back, but she said she would only do so if she could play a baddie. They said no. Big mistake. Wouldn't it have been awesome if we had an evil Vicki in PT? Or, by some trick of time (possibly caused by all of Barnabas' fooling around with it?), could she have shown up in 1840? Possibly as one of Judah Zachary's followers? Or that other thought that I mentioned above? There are so many possibilities. If only the producers/writers/whoever had realized it... I'm sure Alexandra would have done a fabulous job!

I wish I had thought of that one!

Is it just me or did Vicki get more upset about Jeff's disappearance than she ever did over Burke's death? Let's forget the difference between AM and BD for the moment, I'm talking about the character of Vicki.

I'm not saying Vicki doesn't have a right to be distraught over losing Jeff, especially so soon after they had gotten married, but I kind of wish the writers had her address the reality of the loss of Burke more than they did.

Hmm, Burke who? By this time, I wouldn't doubt that the writers had completely forgotten about him.

I really like the brief scene between Maggie and Chris. If looks could kill! I liked seeing her give him what for; it reminds me of Maggie in the pre-Barnabas days. I also liked when Julia was getting on to him.

So, I'm confused here. Chris was planning on leaving town that night? During the full moon...?

The security at Wyndcliff is obviously pretty lax. Amy is, what? The third person to escape?

I always wondered whether or not Adam [spoiler] died later on when Barnabas reverted back to being a vampire later on in the Leviathan story. [/spoiler]

I wonder about that too. Every time Barnabas reverts I always find myself thinking, "I wonder what's happening to Adam right now..."

Alas, poor Adam! He disappears into the good professor's back room and is never heard from again. Everyone seems to completely forget about him after this. I think his name is mentioned once throughout the rest of the series.

Getting tired of Jeff and Vickie.

So am I. I really didn't have a problem with this story until around the first time they tried to get married. I guess once Jeff found out he really was Peter (as if there were ever any doubt), there was nothing left to do. The rest of the storyline drags out much longer than it needed to.

In 1988 I was one of 20 fans who joined Diana on a three week tour of Egypt.
She was "on stage" for the whole trip, telling Egyptians that she was an actual Phoenix!

She also told us that she was the reincarnation of Queen Nefertiti, who guided her during her 1897 role.

Wow, what I wouldn't give to have been on that tour!

Nefertiti happens to be  my favorite figure from ancient Egyptian history (along with her husband, who, you could say, were "whackadoos" in their own right ). Could this possibly why I like Laura so much?
