I never knew he wrote some episodes. I've always liked his acting, and especially Joe. He is always overlooked, or pushed aside, simply because people think he's too boring. I think he was a wonderful steadfast character.

I'm glad they have the fanzines, although I've not been able to read any of them, however, I really really appreciate online fan fiction. True not all of it is good, but then what one person thinks is good, another person doesn't like. At least online fan fiction is accessible to many more people, and feedback is almost instantaneous, what with e-mailing, and other forms of contact info. I also think it draws more attention to Dark Shadows as a fandom, because I've known people who have read a fan fiction story without having had prior knowledge of that particular fandom, who then find the story so interesting, they then go watch the show. IMHO, I think we could use a lot more online Dark Shadows fan fiction sites!

I too enjoyed Anthony George in the show. In fact, Jeremiah is one of my favorite characters.

I do agree with others who have said that Burke was best played by Mitch Ryan, this after having seen his portrayal of Burke in the pre-Barnabas episodes. However, not having his death shown on screen makes for some interesting speculation as to whether or not he truly died.

Angelique enjoyed being in control of situations and people, and being an obedient wife wouldn't exactly give her the control she needed to remain her confident self. The first time barnabas told her to stay home for one reason or another, she might try to obey, but after a few such attempts of him telling her what to do, she would eventually rebel against him, and I think would grow to resent him. It wasn't in her nature to simply surrender her will to another.
