Current Talk '05 I / Re: TV Pilot Season is here again

I don't understand why Nick at Nite or TVland isn't playing this.  Or any of the endless digital cable channels for that matter!  I mean, who needs to watch the Golf Channel???  Where are people's priorities?  Arg...  By the way, where have all the 60s and 70s shows gone?  No one is plalying Mary Tyler Moore or Dick Van Dyke, etc...anymore.  They've switched over to 80s shows.  Not that I mind 80s shows, but why are older ones being thrown out?  Why not make more channels for them, since we have so many...  Well I should stop ranting or I'll never stop.

I asked TVLand a long time ago about playing DS and they said because it was a long soap or some crap like that.  And I was thinking yeah, but aren't the shows you are playing old television shows.

How would you have liked Dark Shadows to end?

I would have liked Chris to find a way to break his curse and marry Sabrina. I would also have liked Joe to be cured from his insanity and marry Maggie. Don't you just love happy endings?

only for his son or grandson named Oz to be infected.lol

I think it would have been a neat twist for Barnabas and Julia to meet a visitor from the future--perhaps even a descendant of David or Carolyn--who has come back to 1971 to "change history" and save the family.  Knowing from experience that such things are possible, it would be interesting to see whether B and J accept the traveler's story and help her or him to avert the catastrophe, or if they would remain suspicious of the newcomer's identity and motives.

Or maybe a descendant of B&J now that would be a trip.  And maybe not even that far it could be a child they have in the future, confirming yau'll too did the diddy at some point.lol  Oh just imagine some teen for the 80's, 90's or even the new mill.  They don't even have to be teens but young adults (college age) rocker, raver, cyber goth or hell just goth.  Now what would they think of that?  What the hell is that kid wearing?  What the hell kind of language is that?  And what are those small things that ring?lol

One idea I had, in which I ended writing my first fan fiction, was Barnabas meeting up with a slayer [loosely based on the Buffy/Angel shows]

You know I've often wondered about that.  What if Buffy and the gang ended up in Collinwood or Barny etc. ended up in Sunnydale.  I also love the idea of Collinwood being on a Hell Mouth.  I think there was a fan fic like that.  But it sure would explain all of the paranormal activity going on.

Actually, I think Stokes and Julia make a far better pairing than Barnabas and Julia.  I think Barn has too much "baggage"...heck he has whole STEAMER trunks FULL of baggage....  Julia shouldn't have to deal with that.  Plus, I think Barnabas takes her for granted sometimes.  Stokes and Julia just strike me as a great couple.

Now that would have been cool.  Let Barnabas see how she feels for a while.  He probably still wouldn't admit his feelings though.lol

If they would've really given Julia a serious love interest, I kind of like the idea of Roger and Julia...I'm not sure why.

You're not the only one seeing them as a couple.  Besides WereQ I mos def could see Roger.  I don't know if it would last thought Rog has a crazy sense of humor.  Remember when Vicki was trapped in that room and he was making noises and stuff.  Dude was a trip.

Chris was the only family she had. Her parents were killed in an automobile accident and her brother Tom was attacked in the woods by Angelique and ended up dying on her.
Amy's story is indeed very sad.  Her only surviving relatives seem to be a brother, cursed with lycanthropy, and a cousin sent to Windcliff.  (She fits right in with the Collinses, no?)  But we weren't told that Amy's and Chris' parents died in a car accident; only that they were dead.

That makes me think of Livy on Port Charles.  Her uncle Ryan was a psychotic killer, her mom was in a mental ward, her grandfather was too because his wife (liv's grams) killed his girlfriend (anybody guess she was a bit off).  Then he's a little off too especially when he thought he was his brother.  Talk about dysfunctional.

I wanted to kick the tv when Julia saw Barnabas kissing Roxanne.  No really I wanted to kick Barnabas up side the head.  I mean damn he was so clueless.  I love him though, but damn that man was dense.lol
