Walken would have made a great Gabriel Collins, especially near the end of 1840, [spoiler]when he starts to loose it, and kidnaps Daphne/kills his wife[/spoiler]

I can so envision it.

i always felt that might have been a storyline they'd have done if..

1) the show lasted longer
and

2) if they could have gotten Alexandra to return as Vicki

i voted for a retelling of the original series...with a slight retooling.

the reason for this is simple,

1) introduces new fans/ppl to the DS story.

2) Retells the story for fans

3) Helps to establish continuity for a Next-Gen show.

the original was such a great show and had so many great stories that they should be retold, plus create some new ones that would fill in gaps from the original.

plus after a few seasons we could spin-off a NG show with some of the new show actors, i.e Barnabas and Quinten playing their imortal selves with new actors playing the older charoline and adult david.

I became a fan during the Sci-fi channel period.

it got me through most of my senior yr of high school, i was out the first few weeks witha broken arm sustained in football practice.

i thought it was an interesting show, i caught up with it mid 1841PT and went through the cycle up until middle of the Leviathans then they took it off the air.

it was a cool show and really hope they attempt another remake/revival

i always prefered her with Frank Garner they just had a good chemistry. Followed by Burke

Jeff/Peter was dumb and felt that the writers just did it so 1897 could have a more natural soap opera angle/story
