Yes, the price is absolute tripe, particularly since it is not a neutral inscription. Worth less than a tenth of that.

In the
Files Magazine DS Tribute interview by Ed Gross, Sproat does NOT claim credit for the development of the Barnabas character, but generally refers to the writing group as a whole on that issue.  [easter_grin]

It's an article called "A Day of Dark Shadows," by "Annie" Lundquist. It's an interesting take on a fan's studio visit with some great pictures from around the time Tom Jennings was a vampire. ANY help would be appreciated. I once owned this, but it is long gone.

Hippy Nightstrums appears to be the instrumental guitar piece heard in the background during the hippie campfire scene.

1972 was my era as a kid getting into music and I STILL can figure this one!  It's certainly in the "rock" vein rather than typical "pop" of the time . . . I thought maybe it was a different Deep Purple song than listed in the credits, but still can't nail it down... [santa_tongue]

Thanks, Midnite- my lack of specificity in the repost obviously wasn't helping my cause!   [santa_tongue]

Lukas Haas also appears as a soldier in the opening sequence of LINCOLN!

The only song not accounted for in the credits is a version of "Highway Star" by Deep Purple, and that doesn't match either. I wonder if they changed it in post-production and didn't update the credits?

Current Talk '12 II / Re: Memories of DS In Syndication
« on: August 24, 2012, 07:54:59 PM »
In '82, I rediscovered DS watching it on WMTW channel 8 out of Poland Spring, Maine.  I could get a fair picture (with a jury-rigged antenna) over 150 miles from the antenna, up in Bangor!  I actually audio taped some of the shows(on good old cassettes), the most memorable of which was the episode in 1967 where Barnabas catches David coming out of the mausoleum.

During the original run, I watched DS on channel 7, Bangor ABC affiliate WEMT (now WVII). I saw 95% of the original run in black and white, since we didn't get a color set until '73! Occasionally, I would go off to my Grandma's, or to a friend's house about a mile down the street and see a color episode.
