I'd prefer the present day Ezra Brathwaite since I'd put him to work fashioning a silver-cross for me instead of the Eagle Hill Cemetary 'centarian' as he converses with the vampire warning him of the danger he is in if he doesn't leave right away.

Would you prefer either Lobster Roll at the Collinsport Inn or one of Mrs Johnson's famous boiled dinners?

I have seen the picture of Depp and Pfeiffer.  Miss Winthrop approves of Barnabas's look.  [snow_wow] The picture I've seen is basically from the shoulders and up.  Haven't seen a full-length pic yet as some of you are alluding to.  Noticed Liz's jewelry.  Looks like a gothic-type cross to me. I think that might be a no-no if it's a silver cross.

In reference to earlier posts regarding 'Mustang or Mustang Vest'...I think the correct wording goes something like this..'Mustang Bangs'. Makes sense as the bangs do remind of a mane on a running horse.

I'm anxious to hear news of the 'rating' the movie will receive...will the music box be in the movie..what will the music by Elfman be like...so many questions, so few answers thus far.  [santa_azn]

The bottom line for me is this: I want to log in and not have to do anything different than before and have an easy time navigating the site.  If this is what will happen, I'm eternally grateful.  [santa_thumb]

Will 'Dark Shadows Festival' web-site have info on hotel rooms and tickets and fan events?  They need to get started soon so people can make arrangements. Would that not make the most wonderful Christmas gift ever to be able to attend the premier?   [8_2_81]

I loved Paula Lawrence and I wish they had done more with her.

I have to agree here.  I loved her character and wished that the storyline had been expanded.

I thought HAA was one of the better character actors on DS.  Come to think of it, so many of the actors were very good.  My favorite time for him were his scenes with Eve.  Liked him in the Leviathan period too.

I saw an interview with Joan and Merv Griffin(?) and she looked wonderful in a cotton dress, yellowish in color if I recall correctly and her hair and make-up were flawless as usual.

In the pic of Jonathan and Joan, I can't help noticing the back of the stone fascade prop.  It looks kind of cool in the picture.

I too have seen HBC in Howard's End, which happens to be one of my all time favorite movies.  IMO her performance wasn't all that compelling as that of ET and AH. I don't know and don't care what her relationship with her spouse is although I think she doesn't sound very supportive of his love for Dark Shadows..just saying. No diss, just offering an opinion.

When I read her comments yesterday I was upset by them.  I've since calmed down.  She will now have to work even harder to sell me on her interpretation of Dr Hoffman. From the beginning I didn't think she was right for the JH part.  I really haven't seen her in anything that I liked since 'Room With A View'.  [santa_evil]  She's highly overrated IMO.

Being a big fan of Elizabeth, I read with happiness that she will be a rival to Angelique.  I'm assured that she will have some quality screen time and not just exist as part of the background like she was in the later DS episodes  [hall2_smiley].  At times, I do feel sick whenever I read Chloe M's interviews about how funny or weird or whatever she is using at the time to describe DS.  I realize she is only 13 or 14 and thinks and speaks differently about life than say an adult does.

I read the article.  It caused me think about the mentioned short-lived WB DS 2004.  If, the pilot had succeeded and had gone into production, what are the chances that the series would have had some of the supernatural elements that the original series had? The WB version would have been set during current times.  It would be interesting to have a caravan of gypsies or wherewolves or even Zombies circling a modern day Collinwood. Interesting.  [hall2_cool]

People have perceptions of what type of film they are willing to take the risk, along with the high-cost, of going to see. Myself included. I like Russell Crowe but haven't gone to see any of his latest movies because frankly, the topics are of no interest to me.
My son-in-law didn't want to see Julia and Julie because he perceived it as a 'chick flick'.  I've seen it twice.  The same son-in-law has already said he won't see the Dark Shadows movie because he's not into horror. [hall2_sad]

I'm not promoting Blockbuster but apparently they still exist even after a bankruptcy of sorts.  Has anyone checked to see if the Dark Shadows vids are there?  When I went into their store many years ago, they carried about 20 volumes of DS on VHS. Fortunately, I have every single video produced about DS. Between myself and other family members, were covered.  I used to belong to Blockbuster but when I would order a series, they were constantly sending them to me out of order and finally out of frustration, I dropped them.  I've had good luck ordering from my local library. The only thing is, there is usally a wait to get what I want.  [hall_smiley]
