Today was really bad - at least for me.

Happens with me on-and-off (it did just now opening the respond thing).  For me, if I refresh, it does open the page.  Sometimes I only have to do it once; sometimes a couple times, but it will open.

And don't forget the deflating beach ball mines!  Irwin Allen spared no expense.  I'm surprised The Towering Inferno wasn't made out of Legos.

Along with residing in "Collinswood."  At least "Barnaby" Collins wasn't there.

I grew up watching June first on Lassie, and then Lost In Space and finally Petticoat Junction.  Memories!  I'm grateful we still have her.

When it's discombabulating, the board will not load at all on Google - at least not for me - and will just keep getting error-like messages, including when reloading.  But on Edge, it'll eventually load, although I had to keep hitting reload over and over again, including when moving from one page to another.

MB, the '02 adaptation is free on tubi.  Angela Bettis and Patricia Clarkson star as Carrie and Margaret.  It is the closest to the novel.

I know this is heresy for which torrents of pigs' blood shall be poured upon me, but the '02 adaptation (not remake) is the best.

It also looks like Collinwood from the '12 movie, where the tower was in the center of the house.

Thanks, Josette!  I know which one that is.  I, myself, lived off of Perrysville.

I lived in "The Pitt" for four years back in the late '80s and I really enjoyed it - all the ethnic neighborhoods and restaurants.  Where else could you spend a Sunday afternoon listening to the Ukrainian Hour on radio?  I was a hospital volunteer at one of the local ones (I think it was Providence) visiting with the patients.  I had the honor of meeting one of the men in the famous photo of the Iwo Jima flag raising.  I wonder if that's the hospital used as the basis for this show.

Calendar Events / Announcements '25 I / Dan Curtis' "Dracula"
« on: April 08, 2025, 12:26:52 AM »
If anyone would like to watch it again, Dan Curtis' Bram Stoker's Dracula from 1973, starring Jack Palance, is free to watch on tubi.  I did the other night, not having seen it since I can last remember.  I do remember when it was suppose to air on CBS during October 1973 but was preempted by Nixon announcing that Spiro Agnew was taking a hike as vice-prez for getting caught with his hands in Watergate.  I was furious, waiting to watch it in anticipation.  It finally aired, four months later, in February '74.  As I viewed it this time, it sounds as if Robert Cobert's exact music used at the staking of Barnabas in HoDS was reused for the offing of Dracula.
