Thank you, ProfStokes!  Several of us here enjoy living vicariously in "attending" through cousins who were able to be there.

Did anyone here attend?  We haven't received nary a report or update about the goings-on.  In the past, whether it was a full-blown annual festival, or a smaller, more localized event, we'd get them not only every day, but sometimes every few hours, resplendent with pictures.  This time here, crickets.  I know there's stuff on youtube and probably a whole bunch of other "social media," but what happened to cousins attending these soirees reporting in here?

I've posted this several times already, but on this day I was watching something on our ABC affiliate and at the end there was this spooky commercial with spooky music about some show that would be airing next, and even though it was a perfect summer day - having my attention caught - I watched it.  And then the next day, and the next, for the following five years.

She played Vicki/Josette in the '91 NBC prime-time remake.

I can't help it.  When I see clips here with Chemist Horace Gladstone, I expect to see in the quotation:  "A little song; a little dance; a little seltzer down the pants."

I don't know - were there any?  I supposed Elizabeth was one, since she was a wife and mother and until Mrs. Johnson came along, she pretty much was in charge of the domestic duties.  Maybe Mrs. Angelique Rumson.  Mrs. Angelique (nee Stokes) Collins, followed by Mrs. Maggie Collins, both wives of Quentin Collins?  I'm not counting those from centuries previous.

Anyway, my vice is Below Deck, the franchise about the operation and goings-on with mega-yachts, airing on Bravo along with the Housewives franchise.  While I love the former, I despise the latter, even when a cross-over was done between the two shows.  I never miss a Monday night episode of BD and watch all the reruns.  On a message board discussing the shows, two of the Captains, including Capt. Jason of the Down Under series, responded to me.

So, to not got on like Rose with a St. Olaf story, I was watching the current one (a Below Deck: Down Under with Capt. Jason) on Monday night and there was an ad for the next Housewives installment:  The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.  It's apparently set in Newport - where else would snooty, rich housewives live?  And - I'm sure you know where this is going - guess what mansion was blatantly featured in the ad, not just a quicker passing, but an encompassing view of the house and the grounds?  You guessed it.  I won't watch the show; I'll stick with BD.  But it's good to know "our house" still makes a good presence.

Didn't she close down her publishing company?  I wonder who is going to print it.

Tickets starting at $500 and going to over $10,000.  Who's going to be there - Taylor Swift performing?  I'm sorry, this stuff is getting ridiculous - it's all a scam and a sham and I'm surprised TLATKLS would participate in it.

Happy birthday, sweet Annie!

During spring break, I and friends flew to Charleston, SC where a friend of our was stationed in the navy.  We went to the outdoor to see it and, let me tell you, it really frightened us.

Happens with me on-and-off (it did just now opening the respond thing).  For me, if I refresh, it does open the page.  Sometimes I only have to do it once; sometimes a couple times, but it will open.

And don't forget the deflating beach ball mines!  Irwin Allen spared no expense.  I'm surprised The Towering Inferno wasn't made out of Legos.

Along with residing in "Collinswood."  At least "Barnaby" Collins wasn't there.
