Current Talk '02 II / Re: Quentin is a bounder, a rake......

Hey, take it easy on the southern accents, folks.  :)
I have a North Carolina accent (thanksto my parents) even though I'm from Virginia, and I wouldn't want to talk any other way.  Although when I moved to good ole western MA I could have gotten rich real quick if I had a nickle for everytime someone noticed I'm not from around here. lol

Just because it takes me five minutes to say one word doesn't mean it's a bad thing ;)

I was at the Fest in 2001 and got so excited about meeting him that Robin thought I was going to faint.  Seriously, I was rather shakey and she left the line to get me a glass of water...then when he put his arm around me for our picture I just about jumped out of my skin.  Trust me, it'll be worth the possibility of fainting or hyperventilating. ;)

And I lived in Memphis for a year too.

Well I'd have to say Roger's only fashion faux pas would have been those tweed jackets with the elbow patches....other than that he was impeccable.

Hmmm....It might have been interesting but I don't think people would have gone for it.  The whole reason I hated Interview With A Vampire was, as others have mentioned, the whole child sexuality angle with Kirstin Dunst.  Although it made an interesting plot twist as she emotionally aged and didn't physically, it was still a bit sick for my taste.  And especially in the 60's, when television didn't have to go for shock value every five seconds to get ratings, it might have been too much.

This has saddened me to the point of tears.  I'm glad that he didn't die alone....my condolences and prayers are with his family.

Well I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one scared of heights around here.  I see them around here all the time....western Mass is full of hot air I guess LOL! I think they're fascinating to watch but I'd never do it.  They're as safe as anything else so I'd tell him to go for it.  Look at it this way, they're probably safer than his daily commute to work.

Current Talk '02 II / Re: GRAMOPHONE SUGGESTIONS
« on: October 09, 2002, 04:37:29 AM »
I think in keeping with the classical music angle, I'd pick the Elvira Madigan concerto by Mozart for Quentin's grammophone.  It's very sad yet romantic, the way his theme was.  It would fit Quentin and Beth's relationship I think.

But if we're going for rock/pop music, "Take Me In Your Arms" by the Doobie Brothers would fit perhaps for Beth.

EG, the music nerd (been a music nerd since age 6 and still going strong LOL!)

Current Talk '02 II / Re: Signature Scent?
« on: September 22, 2002, 01:04:28 AM »
On special occasions, I wear Estee Lauder's "Beautiful" and I've worn it since my teens.  However, for everyday scents, I wear either Cotton Blossom (my hubby's favorite), Juniper Breeze, Happiness, Plumeria (all from Bath and Body Works) or Secret Crush (From Victoria's Secret).  And for relaxation I use Bath and Body WOrk's Eucalyptus/Spearmint aromatherapy.  If I were a ghost I'd confuse the heck out of everyone showing up smelling different every time LOL.

Current Talk '02 II / Re: blue episode
« on: September 22, 2002, 12:59:20 AM »
I think some of the episodes with the greenish tint were because the crew didn't white balance the cameras.  It's hard to explain..my hubby explained it to me - he's a cameraman and told me that if you don't white balance a camera before you use it, you get funky colors.  Between that and the color tubes it's a wonder we got any color at all. LOL

Of the Dark Shadows cast, Louis Edmonds and Joan Bennett.

Of other famous people: Mozart, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, Mother Theresa, and Princess Diana

Personal choices: my grandmother who I lost two years ago, and a friend of mine who died of AIDS before I even knew he was sick.
