Everyone complains about Maggie in this story, but don't forget, they are basing it on Rebecca.  She's supposed to be mousy and timid and actually, given the life she's led, does show more spark than that.  And, Quentin is supposed to fly off the handle over any suggestion of anything concerning Angelique.  Sometimes in this story it doesn't always seem to make sense, but just picture it as Rebecca.

The 2nd Mrs. DeWinter was shy but brave.  Maxim was older, aristocratic, also mysterious and moody, and as the story progressed became increasingly withdrawn.  PT Maggie, on the other hand, deals with nearly every situation by running from the room crying.  And PT Quentin is a brute who, at one of his lowest points, orders his wife to her room as if doling out a timeout to a child.  I find their scenes together very nearly intolerable.

i agree also Midnite i believe that is the reason this is my least favorite storyline
other than Julia whacking Hoffman didn't like any of this i never understood why Maggie returned This quentin was my least favorite
I thought it was common knowledge by now that everyone knew that Frid, Karlen, Scott, Hall and most of the cast was off in Tarrytown NY, filiming the HODS movie during the beginning of the PT storyline on sci fi right now.
Selby and Parker practically carried the show every day for 6 weeks. All though they did a fine job, the main cast's absence really hurt  the show. Especially coming so soon after the awful Leviathan story.

I believe that Daughters of Darkeness was filmed sometime in the summer of 1970 after PT ended.
of course this is true and i agree that it hurt the show
One of the main reasons i disliked this storyline was what
a wimp Maggie was.
Since KLS was off doing the movie
and Maggie was sent off to visit her sister Jennifer it sort of fell through the cracks and i don't feel it was resolved well when she returned
i don't know Rainey i think JK did what he wanted and i did like his HARHVEY on Cagney and Lacey. I saw him the other day on an old Mike Hammer show and it's good to see
him turn up on so many other shows!

PS Hey, what the heck happened to Chris' brother, Tom?  Maybe Tom is the night manager/bartender at the Kit Kat Lounge over in Rockport, ME.

Or perhaps the PT Jennings parents made a different choice and never had Tom, and instead he was born to a multi-millionaire who lavished every conceivable luxury on him - and now he's living in the south of France with his boy-toy, PT Gothick. ;)

But we'll never know...

Please MB now Steve is going to be trying to gain access
to That PT room! >:D LOL

Wouldn't it be cool to see that "one hit wonder boy" Bruno Hess play "My Sharona," the "one hit" of those other "one hit wonders," The Knack, on his Steinway and Sons keyboard in the cottage?

It would be a gas to see Bruno's flowing hair and his bouncing medallion as he intones the sophisticated lyrics of this seminal hit as only an artistic genius of Bruno's caliber could do.  We're talking Cole Porter here!
YES Bob i think they should have Bruno break out and do his own concert! (i would have paid to see him at FENWAY  in 1970) LOL

You're right, Birdie....my Mother actually did tell me that.   :D

I think what annoyed me most is that they did the scene with Barn and Quentin where he says "If I had a gun with silver bullets, I'd force you to use it on me." Well HELL!  How hard to come by would THAT have been...this is Collinsport!

.was it when Tom Jennings was midnight snacking on the good red-haired doctor?   ^-^

don't know but i'll say Julia was a lucky girl ;D

and after 25 years of drawing blood i've never seen any one hold a needle like Cyrus!

That's because Cyrus was using the PT method. ;)

heehee that's pretty good MB!

I don't think it's just because I play the piano, but I was so tickled to see two different characters (Alexis and Bruno) tickling the ivories today (Wednesday).  I began asking myself, "Is everybody a pianist?"  I loved Bruno's over-the-top swaying while he casually carried on a conversation with Quentin (how subtle).   ::)

The legendary afghan-now-as-piano-cover added yet another subtle touch.

The way Bruno winced when his blood sample was drawn, you'd think Dr. Longworth had used a screwdriver instead of a hypodermic needle.  :D

heehee
yes i thought Bruno  was too much today! The one hit wonder boy! Angelique must have been really bored to put up with him!He did have great veins though and after 25 years of drawing blood i've never seen any one hold a needle like Cyrus!

i know you live in a basement somewhere(like in the Old House) just plotting  ;D

Actually, I live in one of the highest spots in the city with a view of the water on three sides of my house. And today that water is an amazing color of blue, which is a very nice change from the gray it had been for the last month.

But as for plotting, one can do it just as easily from a penthouse as from a subterranean cavern - not that I'm admitting to doing any plotting, mind you. [wink2]
wow i'm coming to visit[sun]

jennifer

Wow we'll all be senile by the time we reach that![eek]

Now you've done it - you've gone and given me an idea.  [idea2]
