I'm sorry your knee is giving you such trouble Annie and I hope everything goes well when you see the dr.  They're so busy!  July 14th seems a long time to wait.

We picked up our pre-ordered book this morning at Borders.  It was really kinda crazy there, almost like Cabbage Patch-mania with the parents and wailing little kids in tow trying to snag a copy of the book -- but they hadn't preordered it.  The customer sales people kept explaining that they couldn't give out any books until all the customers who pre-ordered came in and picked up their copies.  I thought there was going to be a riot.  We are in the sticks and the only bookstores around are the chains.

Thanks Midnite!  :)

And thanks for the background information, Raineypark.  I didn't know it and I like the name Sleepy Hollow better than North Tarrytown too.

I like the montage too but the pop up to download whatever it is that wants to download is so annoying.

Even this PT Collinwood might not be the way things should be.  Even after Barnabas died, there are other places in the Collins' history which could have caused more alternate universes.  Like ... in the present, there is yet another PT Collinwood and Angelique did not die.    :o :o ;)

It's a shame that poor kid was left behind to grieve his mother while his dad went to Europe.  I guess the only 'good' thing about it is that the people around him are also grieving.

It seems to be a Collins legacy, RT & PT, to abandon the children emotionally if not physically.  Tsk tsk.   [dsapb] [cryg]

Josette,

I liked Leviathan in the beginning, too.  I enjoyed Evil Barnabas!  Jonathan Frid was great there, he was really scary!  :o  When I first saw Leviathan I identified with the kids, especially Amy.  Alexander and Michael were such bratty bullies, tormenting her and David.  It did fall apart in the middle or end ... mostly when all of a sudden Jeb wanted to be "human" and become a "good guy".  Give me a break.   [puke]

I enjoyed PT 1970 too.  It has one of my favorite characters of all DS time:

[spoiler]the very sweet natured and gentle Dr. Cyrus Longworth[/spoiler]

It's also fun to watch Quentin throw tantrums. ;D

I was just reading on another PT1970 thread that it's too bad Maggie is portrayed as such a ninny and that she let herself get run out of town.  It's too bad they couldn't have gotten Alexandra Moltke for the Maggie role in PT.  It would have freed up TLATLKS to do the movie and it would have shown an alternative for Victoria Winters.  Oh well... ::)

Hey Jennifer,

I think I can't use it because I don't have enough posts.

And I think the number of cures/curses has to do with whether or not posters like what you said.  Of course, who you are and how well you're liked has nothing to do with it.

 ;) [sun]  ;) [chkyb] [lghg] [idontknow] [wink2] [wink2]

Perhaps it's true that the cure/curse isn't meant to be taken seriously; however, I have seen posts and even a thread where people expressed concern ... it does seem to bother some people.  I remember one thread got so hot it was totally removed.  I can't cure or curse anyone yet -- don't know when or if that will ever happen -- but I doubt I will.  I don't want to bother with a feature that does cause some upset to posters, even if it's just one.

;) I'm not arrogant, I'm just better than that.

in the woods.

There's a fanfic there. Really there is. See, it's 1980 and Liz kicks the bucket. David decides for once to listen to his father and get the hell out of Collinsport for California or Florida or something. So he sells the estate to a real estate development company. The groundbreaking ceremony is made more exciting when the local official sticks a spade in the dirt and hits something (because of course, no one could ever be bothered to dig the requisite six feet holes).  8) And when the bulldozers get going, more excitement ensues.

Think about it. It could be fun  ;D

I thought about it and think you have a great idea.  And you are a good writer, loved your short stories about the people in Collinsport.  How about it, Luciaphil?

Most welcome character (the one you were happiest to see)?

Quentin's return

Your favorite character in Leviathans, period.

Quentin

Favorite duo (non-romantic)?

Quentin & Julia looking for Barnabas

Favorite romantic pairing?

Philip & Megan, were there any others?

Favorite minor character?

Philip

Most irritating character?

Sabrina

Scene(s) you can watch over and over and over and...?

Barnabas talking to Paul in the Blue Whale about his most "prized" possession, that was really spooky!
Quentin pulling the sword on Sky Rumson
Paul attacked by the giant lung & taking refuge at Stokes' cottage

Most wasted opportunity?

Quentin!!  Also, not bringing in a replacement for Paul Stoddard's ghost to haunt Jeb.  Wish it was Stoddard's ghost that threw Jeb off the cliff!

Best plot twist?

Return of Barnabas's curse

Creepiest moment or event?

Evil Barnabas's smile

Which scene had you yelling at your TV screen the loudest?
Probably Sabrina going alone to confront Bruno

What moment made you cheer the loudest?
When Barnabas burned down the antique shop

Moment in which you most wondered, "What were the writers smoking?"
Not just one moment, there were many moments during Leviathan

Favorite prop?
Well, I guess the dumb Naga box

Least favorite special effect?
That dumb shadow

What scene had you closest to tears (because it was so touching)?

When Barnabas woke up and realized he was a vampire again

What scene had you closest to tears (from laughing)?
When Quentin and Amanda were in the cave and saw that silly spider on the web

Moment or event that made your jaw drop the farthest?
Probably when Paul realized that he was expected to give Carolyn to the Leviathans

What nagging question were you left with?  (Uh, try to narrow it down, please. )

Why didn't they do The Mummy instead?  Quentin in Egypt ¢â‚¬¦

Finally, what was your reaction to the storyline the very first time you watched it?

Since I was just a kid I thought the child actors were scary & cool.  I liked the idea of the mysterious horrible "thing" in the room
