I was on IMDb looking up some of these movies; not sure.

But, of course, I bought "House of the Long Shadows" and "Monster Club".

(Seems like "Monster Club" may have been influenced by "Ghost Story".)

Can't go wrong w/Price, Lee, et al.

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Regarding Robservations
« on: October 29, 2015, 05:54:44 PM »
Alright, we all know what 'binge watching' is.

Well, sometimes, I 'binge READ' Robservations.

It's ALWAYS bothered me, that if I know I read through ep 890, therefore, I'd next want t read ep#891, why, if I"m in Robservations, can't I just put in ep#891 (I'm trying to type it how it reads on the board).

Is there a way?

It's sooooooo arduous; if I were to go on Robservations, I can't tell go to page 16, nope, that's eps 210-approx 260. So, try page 22, nope that's eps 1102-1122, etc, etc.

Any suggestions for fluidity?

Thanks,

Patti

At work, came across a multi-pack spooky & detectivey movies.

I'll list more than a few; to me, on the cover, I thought it was James Franco. But, from the movie listings (some with stars, or year of release, not so much).

If anyone has any 'opinions' of these, please say yeah or nay.

Bunch of Mysterious Mr. Wong (seems vaguely familiar from my youth).

Doomed to Die (Karloff as Mr. Wong).

The Black Book, starring R. Cummings.

A few Dick Tracys.

A. Hitch presents:
The Sorcerer's Apprentice (says 'adult situations).

The Farmer's Wife; Blackmail, The Manxman

Looks to be about 20 Sherlock Holmes starring Ronald Howard, H. Marion-Crawford & Archie Duncan (don't know if they're all in the same movies, or, different actors). No Basil Rathbone though :(

Anybody? There were more; I guess my camera didn't catch them. (I know Karloff was in a few and IIRC, so was V. Price.

The movie (it says 50 movies) is $16.

Should I? Would you?

Thanks,

Patti

Don't we 'hear' (Barn thinking to himself) that when he was a boy, she was his aunt?

Jeremiah, the one who, due to Ang's curse, marries Chjoette, was married before???

Current Talk '15 II / 10/3 Montage
« on: October 03, 2015, 02:34:51 PM »
The montage for Current Talk 15 has a pic of a young woman, saying, "Don't worry David, I'm here".
It also says OS .

Why would David wonder about Angelique?

I may be incorrect, but, isn't OS 1966-1971?

Thanks,

Patti

Just checking on all my friends up & down the eastern seaboard.

In Georgia, we've already had 2-3", but, tonight in my area, allegedly we're to get 5-10 more....

But, I think my NC & NJ friends will get the most.

Please, if you're a resident of a state of the Atlantic Ocean, please checking in regularly.

Thank you,

Patti

I called the store (there was only 1 left, and she hid it for me).

I asked the person I spoke to what the exact name was, and, it was, "A Haunting".

Went to IMDb, I **think*** it's like a "Paranomal Witness" or something (I HATE faux shows), you know, the kind of shows that aren't DS, Buffy, Angel, Supernatural  [ghost_tongue2]

Please, if anyone knows if it fiction or 'faux reality, please let me know.

Thanks,

Patti

As far as TCBS doing 'horror', it was the 70s; I do remember them doing 'somewhat mental anguish' spoofs.

What I'll always remember is the outstanding coverage of "Gone With the Wind", because, they did it after the FIRST TELEVISION AIRING of the movie. I was 13, and you could go to ANY of your friend's houses, and EVERYONE had it on. The men didn't complain (which always made me think it COULDN'T have aired on Monday night re: Howie Cosell).

Patti

PS...I may be having a faulty memory....but, in my mind's eye, do I see Carol Burnett dressed as Bride of Frankenstein??

At work yesterday, I noticed a TV series called, "A Haunting".
It's seasons 1-6 for $15.

Has anyone ever seen this show? Was it made for a specific cable channel?

Input would be appreciated.

as much as I enjoyed seeing Diana Millay again Laura's presence in 1897 and the rewritten 1795 threw so much previously established continuity out of whack it was impossible to ever try and reconcile or make sense of it.

it was a rewrite.  [ghost_huh]

I'm sorry, I'm not getting this.
When Barn went back to faux 1795/6, was Diana Millay there? I really have no memory of this.

Roger Davis wasn't there either, correct?
