I just widen it (have my dvd player set to 4:3 letterbox) so it fills the entire screen (42 inch).  But i discovered while watching Reba dvds, that if i 16:9, the 4:3 aspect enlarges to a nice size.  But i don't think that D.S. is anomorphic, so i fear i will have long and narrow figures in the picture.  I will get back to you when I watch again!

is this what you are talking about?  the cinematic aspects are too large for the screen and crop off parts of the picture.
