Current Talk '02 I / Re: This Might Be Fun (IMHO)

I think it might be fun too, but it would take more than one montage for all of that. Can I choose the pics for Craig Slocum? 2 for each character. Fun idea Patti!:)

I hope it's briefs, I don't like boxers. Maybe Adam's clothes came from one of Jeff's graveyard digs, or Julia went and shopped at Collinsport Big And Tall Men's Apparel.

This person would know, no defamation or false statement was involved here. I certainly would not slander someone I love so much. Mr. Slocum is very special to me. I will not discuss the state of his health anymore. I feel terrible about it. Now, back to my home life. My daughter just came in and wants me to help her with her homework. Please accept my apologies in this matter.

Not that I know of. I have only seen items for sale. There's usually a bulletin board around where the fans put up notices of Dark Shadows items too. I would check that out. Oh and you better get to the dealers room before I do if you want anything good. Just kidding! ;)

The only person in my family who doesn't like Dark Shadows is my dad. I think it's because of his strict religious beliefs, especially regarding witchcraft. I never heard of anybody who loves Dark Shadows being called a nerd. If so, then I must really be one. My huge master bedroom looks like the display room at the Dark Shadows Festival!

It appears that Cassandra has control over the order of the Dream Curse. She always seems to know who had the dream last, and who's supposed to have it next. That's a good question regarding Mrs. Johnson's beckoner in her dream. I wish it had been Harry. That makes a lot of sense since he was her son and living at Collinwood. I wonder what would have been behind the door if he had the dream. That would have been fun. :)

I like Clarice Blackburn best as Mrs. Johnson. You don't see a whole lot of her, but when she's on she's good. I like the way she deals with people, not just the meager housekeeper that anyone can push around, and copes very well with the strange household she has to live and work in. On fashion notes and music, I don't remember Nehru jackets. I did wear bellbottoms in the mid 70's. In the 60's and 70's all the latest "hippie music" was popular in our house with me and my older brothers. We had enough records to open our own music store. It drove our dad nuts.

Harry Johnson was smoking in the drawing room too in a scene, didn't like that, especially with Craig being diabetic. They are not supposed to smoke.  :(

When my Mom was visiting recently, she continued on with my MPI videos, from where the Sci Fi Channel left off on Dark Shadows on that Friday, and at some point during the Dream Curse, she asked me if she could watch my favorite tapes with Craig Slocum on them, she said she was getting tired of the Dream Curse!
?!?

I agree, Julia's Dream Curse sequence was a good one. When she screams she puts her heart and soul into it. She's a trip!

Congratulations Nicky! I hope all goes well for you in college and the future. I never went to college. I probably would have got expulsion for dormitory drinking back then! Have a fun summer. It's my favorite time of year.

Well, since Craig Slocum is not around to ask, I try to inquire from the most reliable sources. I was told that he was having problems with his diabetes, and also the writers didn't quite know what to do with the character of Harry Johnson. I can believe that.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: FAVORITE SCENE????
« on: May 20, 2002, 10:26:39 PM »
Craig Slocum's scenes are my favorites, so I would watch those. A few of the best are, as Noah Gifford in 1795, he is hired by Nathan Forbes to kill Daniel Collins. He chases him through the graveyard, to the mausoleum. Daniel is hiding in the secret room. As Harry Johnson in the Adam storyline, the scene where he tries to leave the House By The Sea, after a visit with Nicholas Blair, and he can't get out. He goes back into the drawing room, which is dark and Nicholas has disappeared. A frightened Harry looks for a way out, then a spooky floating hand moves toward him, and he cries out. Also the scene when Harry comes back from the Blue Whale one night and his Mom (Mrs. Johnson) is waiting up for him. They go into the drawing room and she accuses him of stealing food from the kitchen. That whole dialogue was funny.

I liked that scene too with Cassandra and Barnabas in the drawing room, also Mrs. Johnson's confrontation with Cassandra. That was a good one! Mrs. J doesn't take any rubbish from anyone.
