Unfortunately, I wasn't quite the dedicated DS viewer as I thought I was. While rewatching all the episodes, I found I only remembered a handful and I think I fully stopped during that parallel time line (Angelique and her twin sister). The only memories I have of my origina watching were - and this is weird - Angelique wearing the same wild printed dress about 5 days in a row, Maggie baring a shoulder getting ready for bed (she was married to Quentin), [spoiler]the zombies coming out of the ground and Gerard waving the flag from the window to signal the destruction of Collinwood.[/spoiler] Funny how selective your mind is in remembering stuff  [easter_cheesy]

Some of my fav. storylines - Barnabas/Maggie/Josette story, 1795, and almost any other story set in contemporary time. However, the costumes towards the later part of the series were outstanding (as Gothick mentioned).

Going backward, I have started watching the Beginning episodes and am enjoying them so far. What a little devil David was!  [diablo]

Great pics. Thanks for creating them, gave me a chuckle!  [easter_grin]

MC: Please, please make it stop! I can't stand any more of Jester Jeff's head bobbing around the screen.

(Obviously only applicable April 1).

Hmmm, guess I'm in the minority here. I found the parallel timeline a bit boring (actually fast-forwarded through some of it - shocking I know  [easter_smiley] ) Guess I didn't think Dark Shadows was DS without any kind of paranormal stuff (aisde from [spoiler]the switcharoo Angelique made with her twin).[/spoiler]

In his dream, Sam was devastated beyond his imagination to see that he was really Charles Delaware Tate.

Mummy? Hmmm, that would have been interesting...sort of...where would the mummy have come from?

I kinda liked the Leviathan storyline though those people at the alter were strange.

And I have to wonder at Carolyn's choice in men  [easter_huh]

No, no, no and please no! Just personal taste, but I can't stand Angelina Jolie. She is just too weird. However, she'd make a good Jenny...  [easter_grin]

NF: What on earth are you doing down here, Millicent?
MC: Oh, I thought I'd get some decorating ideas for the condo I'd like to buy in the Collinwood Condo Complex.

I don't know why people would confuse Twilight with Dark Shadows in the first place unless their minds are stuck on the word 'vampire'. I saw Twilight and it is mostly a teen movie - high school, hanging around with 'your' group in school, boyfriends, etc. Just happens one of the groups are vampires! (By the way, I did enjoy this movie but there really isn't anything in it to compare with DS.)

I'm wondering if the movie will go along the lines of Underworld. That movie was pretty violent with plenty of blood and special effects.

One item on my DS movie wishlist is that the studio try to recreate the original interiors that were in the series. I just loved looking at the drawing room, entry way and the Old House. The set designer really did a wonderful job making the studio look like an actual house (mansion?).

I have faith in Tim Burton. I loved his version of Sleepy Hollow (and the sets were awesome) and Johnny Depp has a good working relationship with him.

I agree that Ben Cross did a wonderful job with Barnabas. I thought he was the best thing about the series. And I might mention that I truly enjoyed this 91 version and thought those in charge were really stupid-heads for canceling it.

I had to get used to Barbara Steele as Dr. Hoffman as Grayson Hall did such a wonderful job and I could never picture anyone but her doing that role. And Jim Fyfe as Willie was awesome.

Yes, it is a shame about the destroyed footage. I will play Pollyanna here and hope that someday someone will find a second copy of all that footage sitting in a box in their attic...

I will check out that latest Dan Curtis release which includes Darkness at Blaisedon. It would be fun to see this gothic-type of movie.
