Looking forward to seeing you again ProfStokes, no Disneyland for me, not enough energy for that and the festival. Besides, I wouldn't want to go there unless my daughter was with me. She'll be here, going to school. See you at the fest!  :)

Current Talk '02 I / Re: Who Is Nicholas Blair?
« on: June 17, 2002, 08:19:05 AM »
The first time I saw these episodes, I thought Nicholas Blair was the devil, not far from the truth really. He is truly evil. He and Angelique are a match made by Diabolos, their master and counselor. Nicholas Blair is one of the most interesting characters on the show. My favorite scenes are those with him and Harry Johnson. Looking forward to that!  :)

I would like to be buried with my favorite blanket draped over me. It is luxurious king size, with a red and black pattern on both sides, of a oriental tea house, garden, and mountains. Someone put it over me 5 and a half years ago, after my family and I were in a near fatal car accident. We went off the highway at a speed of 70 MPH, rolled over 4 times, and I was ejected from the car. While lying unconscious with broken bones, and bleeding internally, somebody placed the blanket on me until a helicopter with paramedics arrived, and I ended up with it. I love it, it's so cozy.  :)

I am going, it will be my 5th Dark Shadows Festival. I too look forward to meeting new people and seeing the ones I already know again. It's always fun, but the time to leave comes much too quickly. I have my Craig Slocum memorial t-shirts all made up and ready to wear, one for every day. Awesome!  ;)

That's how I started going to the Dark Shadows Festival, when it was 10 minutes away from where I lived at the time here in Las Vegas in 1998. I remember being in the autograph line until after midnight on the first day, like 3 hours. I was wearing 2 inch heels and I was ready to take off my shoes or sit down on the floor. My Mom was with me. These 2 nice gentlemen brought us chairs to sit on and they even moved them for us when it was time to get up. I'll never forget that! I fit in breaks for meals, the dealers' room, etc. when I see something on the schedule that doesn't particularly interest me, a hard choice, most everything does. I hope to meet you this time Midnite, don't know how I missed you at the Night Of Dark Shadows 30th Anniversary screening last October in CA.   ::)

It also happened when Victoria Winters was about to be hanged from the gallows pole in 1795, those darn stagehands again.  ::)

I also have both versions of the Barnabas Collins Game with the 2 different coffin lids. The one with the Old English letters is much nicer, it also has bats on both sides of the word coffin, the other does not. It's more detailed. Joe, since your game has the fangs, I don't think it would reduce the value of the game significantly. The fangs are hard to come by. The other 2 things are not.   :)

At the Dark Shadows Festival banquet in NYC 1999, the festival chairman read a list of nicknames for the actors and actresses. I only remember the one for Dennis Patrick, it was handsome devil. Was anyone else from the board at that banquet and remember any of the other nicknames?  ?!?

I have the Barnabas Collins Game, Dark Shadows Game, both jigsaw puzzles, and the Vampire Van. The fangs in the Barnabas Collins game are the upper teeth only.

No complaints about my daughter, she's a great kid! The only time she gets a little wild is when she's with her dad's grandson who is close to her age, they're like brother and sister. We lost our second child, which would have been his age, so it works out great that he lives nearby. Otherwise, I end up spending most of my time with her when she's not in school. Parents are not as fun to play with.  ;)

Bob, just a Coke for me. I'm the fuddy duddy here, I don't drink alcohol.  ;D

Those sunglasses scare me. Didn't they have better styles back then? I don't remember.  ::)

Another MST3K classic, The Screaming Skull! This is lousy, slow moving, and sometimes funnier than scary. A movie that I haven't seen since 1979 would fit here too, The Brood. That was a total flop, never to be seen again. Not much action until near the end of the film, by then who cares?  :(

Current Talk '02 I / Re: MPI Tape Question
« on: June 13, 2002, 05:05:30 PM »
When I ordered my MPI tapes, I ordered both the Collector's Series and the Original Series all at once, that's about 200 tapes. It took a couple of weeks to get them all. They came in separate shipments. It's great to have those tapes!  :)
