My worst punishment was when she took DS away for a week because she caught me lying about going to the movies with my friends, when in fact I just went by myslf. She would listen in on the phone extention too. I just tell my kids when they think we are tough they could have lived with my mother.lol. Truthfully, she did something very right she brought up four children and all have become responsible caring adults. We could always go to her, as long as we didn'tt lie, and tell her anything. The house was always open to friends and anyone who needed a hot meal and place to go too. We over the years had various relatives staying with us.

I got wacked with the razor strap that had a place of honor hanging in the downstairs bathroom. My mother once lifted the mattress of the bed and throw it at me, she was afraid if she hit me at the time she would have killed me.lol. Funny, niether of us can remember what I did to cause such a rage. Than she hit me over the head with metal knitting needles while trying to teach me the art of knitting. They broke. Just keep in mind a left handed person going through the change should never try to teach a right handed young person a skill. Today they would call in abuse. I never in my life ever felt abused. It was very common for parents to do these things. My father never raised a hand to me. Than again he worked two jobs and was usuallly exhausted when he got home. I do remember one time his throwing the mash potatoes across the table at us when we were being very obnoxious.

Stories to laugh about now.

Roger Davis does nothing for me. I think after seeing him in person I still was not impressed. In the defense in the shows run he was good looking---still that is just not enough.

I have to say I would like to see a new generation story line. Yes, using some of the stars from the original run. There are so many possiblities. Maybe even finally putting a end to the Vicki story line.

It really brought back memories for me seeing Willie in an Oxygen tent. When I was just shy of eight I had pneumoia. At first my mother fashioned a tent out of sheets in my bedroom than I ended up in the hospital in the same such tent. At that time it waa a big deal and I was in the hospital for over a month. I was went home on my eighth birthday.

Also what was the story about smoking in a hospital room? I can't believe even in the 60th's it was permitted in the hospital. Shocked me when Julia lit up.

Sorry Patti,
I was not a General Hospital fan. Grow up on Days of our Lives. Sorry to say, I remember it from when I was about 8 home sick. My mother use to try to get me to nap with her while watching Days. She would fall asleep and I remember things about that soap that no normal person should remember. Now I am once again back to DS. I find I only can manage to watch one soap a day. I have to pretend to be a responible adult with children, husband, job, etc, etc, etc,. It has been a rough day.
I think my evil twin,(lol} has taken over and my other not so nice personality has taken over. At least at work.
Could not agree more todays episodes were excellent. Loved David's dream. Thank goodness for VCRs.

As someone who just spent yesterday cleaning, I have to agree with you. When I told my kids "we" were going to clean, one of them asked who was coming over. Sigh.

Yes, good help with zombie-like loyalty is hard to get.

Hey, I need Willie here! My house is way out of control. I had family staying with me for a week because of a family emergancy. Not to mention a house full of 13 year olds for a birthday sleepover. I can't believe I am thankful for the snow, they were able to go sledding in the backyard. We have a nice hill for it. I had to take my oldest back to college today. Tomorrow it is back to work. Oh well, as my sisters says "A clean house is a sign of a misspent life".

Another thing who is going to protect Barney during the day.

Birdie---I would truly appreciate Willie unlike someone we know
