To give another perspective on of why people lurk could be a "fear".  I know this is the only place I post.  The fact that this is a safe place means so very much.  I even let my daughter post.  She hasn't for awhile.  You never get any junk mail from here or anyone harrassing any one else.  I happen to be very wary of the internet, have heard too many scary stories about werid things that happen.

Let me tell the lurkers this is a totally safe place and so very much FUN.

My daughter is going to try the Radio stations.  Being 13 she has a lot more time than me.  She thinks it would be an awesome thing to do for her mom seeing it is very close to my birthday.  Keep your fiingers crossed.

Hurray Patti!
I am so happy for you.  He looks so beautiful.  Shocked me that you named him Thomas Philip as that is my hubby's name.   Treasure these special moments they fly by so very fast.  Enjoy. The very best of wishes for health and happiness to your whole family.

Birdie--my Tom's b'day was yesterday.

Thanks Mike,
I had never heard about it before either.  The sales clerk was in a Best Buy store.  We of course are the last people in the nieghborhood to buy anything updated.  Two years ago my teenagers bought us a CD player with a stero turntable on top.  Yes, we still have all our vinyl.  Yes, I still play my old records.  A year ago we finally go at cell phone.  I imagine we will buy a DVD player sometime in the next year.

I was looking at DVD players over the weekend. Still not ready to make the jump.  The sales clerk told me you will still need your VCR.  The DVD player has to be sent out to be realined about every year and a half.  I didn't expect that.  It is going to still be on the back burner here.  Hey, on the up side.  I have cleaned out one of the closets in the rec room and found a nice spot for my DS tapes.

I think it is a roit that the gun shot went from the chest to the head.  Someone mentioned this before. The only explanation I can think of was when they carried him back to the house they dropped him head first on to a rock.  ;D

Bob,
Anthony's is still there.  I have never sad to say had the opportunity to eat there.  It is very pricey.  They have a sister place at the Cape.  We attended a wedding there a few summers ago.  The food was very good and we had a blast.    The place I mentioned, my brother in law found and is excellent and reasonable.  Very small, family like.
I guess the CSN&Y concert in Boston was not sold out.  My nephew was at the house and his friend called from the concert so we could enjoy some of the fun.  Not sure what the cost was.

Jennifer and Mike,
I also went to Lincon Park.  I high school I belong to the C.Y.C. and we had several trips down to Horseneck Beach and than to Lincon Park.  One time I remember having a terrible sunburn and being talked into the roller coaster.  Needless to say I did not feel well on the bus ride home.

I had a bad experience with Roller Coasters as a child I almost fell off the one at Whalen Park when I was eight.  If my Dad had  not reach over I would have been a goner.  Whalen Park closed last year another end of an era.

Jennifer are you going to Newport for the week or just the day?  If you should go to the Black Pearl the chowder is the best.

Not sure when I will be going down.   There are a lot of things in the fire.   It might be a weekend.

Birdie--who now only goes on Roller Coasters when my family harrasses me enough to make me cave.  I did ride all the big one in Disney World three years ago.  I don't think I will go on Rocking Roller Coaster when we go nest

First I wanted to thank you for posting the dates of the Paul McCartney concert.  Sadly we tried despertly to get tickets for the April 19th show in Boston. Sob.Sob. no luck.  We had the whole evening planed.  Dinner in the North End at Sabatino's, a wonderful Italian restaurant ion Washinton St.  Than the concert. I am still in depression over it.

Birdie--who is very sad this weekend.  The tickets went on sale at 10.  and my husband could not get throuogh on the phone or net.  It was sold out by 11.

I have to say I would love to live in the "Old House", if I had the money to keep it looking old and have all the conviences of the new house I live in now.  Of course, I would have to have the antiques that goes along with it.  My true goal is life is to be able to buy anything I want to in the anitique stores I like to stroll through.  My mother has a lot of nice pieces.  In fact sometimes when watching I see stuff I have grown up with the Empire Bureaus that they seem to have in just about every bedroom.  I have one in my family room that my older sister just about ruined with all the moves they made as a Navy family.  I also love the paneling in the bedrooms.  It most definitly is my style.  I can't say that I have as much in my home as I would like.

I love old houses.  I also feel fairly lucky that I have had the opportunity to at least walk around "Seaview Terrace".  It amazes me that for years I didn't know the "Collinwood" was in Newport.  A place that we manage to go to fairly often.  In fact I told the family it was time for another visit soon.

Yes Patti, I remember seeing TD in  Rocky in the theater so many years ago.  I have to admitt back than I was a bit fickle and he was never a favorite DS charactor.  At the time I was too young to appreicate what a wonderful actor he was.  As I have "matured", sometimes a guestionable statement I really have grown to look as they say beyond the "looks".  Now I am thrilled to see any of thier work.

I really enjoyed the first Rocky movie.  The ones afterward did nothing for me.  My sister had a thing for Sly.  I had to look at a poster of him in our room for awhile.  Yuk.  You all know my taste goes for a different type.  Tall, dark. blue eyed........

I have to agree.  How could Barnabas ever forgive or love her after  what she did to Sarah!  That has got to be the very worse thing she did.  She did look like she was torn when placing those pins in the doll.  Still she does it.  Hurting a child is about as low as you can go.  What was she thinking?  Oh ya, it is Angie she doesn't think.

I know this is a bit wacked but everytime someone asked Vicki where she got those clothes I wanted her to say "Filene's Basement"  I just got back from a trip to Boston and everyone shops the "Basement".  Or "Read the label."

{I grow up in central Ma in the 60's.  It was very true a great many people shopped Filene's basement.  There was a store in Worcester and that is where my family bought most of our clothes.}

I loved it when Vicki slapped Trask.  For a minute I thought his hair piece was going to fall off.

The episodes have been great!

Another thought that Angie is one hot number she really wants the B-man in her room.  There is a word we could use for that and it begins with a h.....

I just got back from Salem, Ma and I did not see a house of worship with the name Trask attached.  I guess you were right all his parishioners  have fled the area. hehe.  I am amazed at Jerry Lacy's performance.  He had so much dialoge to memorize.  It must have been grueling.  I give him a great deal of credit.

Patti,
Maybe your Tommy is holding out for the 13th,  ;Dmy hubby's birthday.  Can't think of what to get him.  Do you think he would like a Barnabas cane or ring? hehe.  More like the Patriots tape.  ::) He is still talking about the game and season.

Birdie--he returned the computer chair I bought him.  Somehow he thinks I spend more time on the computer than he does.  Where did he get that idea? ?!?
