Current Talk '07 I / Paul Stoddards legal status at Collinwood
« on: April 25, 2007, 12:17:02 AM »
In the Jason McGuire episodes, Rogers tells Carolyn that it is a good thing Elizabeth is getting a divorce from Paul.  He says that Paul could just waltz into Collinwood and take over as head of the house as he is still legally married to Liz.

Is this possible after all that time for him to just be able to take over the household?

Barnabas' origin prior to 1795 took place over a few years instead of a few months.  Sarah died when he was a boy, Josette & Jeremiah were married for years (& had children).

At the seance, Sarah says "To tell the story, the story of how it all began" and then she begins talking through Vicky.

In the original 1795, with Abigail there, I can see her accusing Phyllis Wick, the newcomer, for all the tragedies happening and still calling on Reverand Trask to excercize the evil in the house.  Angelique would still have helped the accusations against Phyllis as she did with Vicky.  I think 1795-2 was the same only with Vicky instead of Phyllis there.
when Vicky returns to the present, she & Liz are at Peters grave and she tells Liz that she refuses to believe that she just took Phyllis' place and that originally Peter couldn't have fallen in love with Phyllis as he did with Vicky. Thing is that is exaclty what must have happened and she is in denial about it.
PS- where is the tread on the various 1795/1796 time travels somone once wrote where each visit resulted in a parallel 1795?

I think Liz paid off Jason soon as he was finished with his "disposal" of the body.  Liz once remarked early in the story that he was "well paid for his services".

Lydia..

Anthony George was replaced as Jeremiah Collins by another actor with two first names...Timothy Gordon.  Interesting pattern that was.

Keep in mind that a lot of the DS actors memories aren't like the fan's memories and tend to blur things together.    Still, I dont see how Dennis could have stayed on in DS, especially at that time actors didnt play more then one role.

It wasn't Dennis Patrick's decision to leave DS, his character served it's purpose and wasn't necessary anymore.  I believe he was hired for the short term this story was to run.

Peter Turgeon played an annoying passenger on Airport, who was responsible for the chaos that ensued.  Though a priest punched him in the face and knocked him out in a later scene.

Dan Curtis could have waited a little longer for the strike to end like the producers of all the other soaps did.  They got their audiences back once the strike ended.
If Gerringer was playing Woodard at the time of the characters death, Barnabas may not have been as popular as he became.  It would have been one of the most heartbreaking killings on the show as we known Woodard for about six or seven moths at this point and he was a part of the DS family
Could Gerringer have played older, middle aged Jeremiah as Barnabas described to Julia if he wasn't fired and remained on the show?
Interesting that in the 1991 DS, Joshua was Woodard's lookalike.

Since David Henesy had left the show, they could have had another actor play Tad.

In Art Wallace's original bible "Shadows on the Wall" he planned on having Paul Stoddard return, after the Jason story ended, to "escape the forces that pursue him".

It also written to have Burke go away to South America at this time and then return for a romance with Vicky.

Jason was originally to be left to go away by Liz as it was done on the show, but then, while Liz after realizing she spent all those years in Collinwood for nothing was to have a scene wher she goes hysterical and smashing/ throwing vases, furniture, etc. all around in a real fit.

Current Talk '07 I / Re: The Leviathan Episode's

I thought the Leviathan monster looked like the three headed snake on the altar.  Its probably best we didnt see it as it would have looked incredibly fake & cheesy.  I wonder if they could have used footage from one of the Japanese monster films as I recall one of them had a flying three headed monster.
