Ben was dumbfounded when Angelique declared that not only would she one day be matriarch of the entire Collins family, but she would become author of casting spells books, too!

Nora thought Charity's reaction to her story about green eggs and ham was amusing until Charity upchucked on Nora's lap.

I enjoyed reading a little bit about Grayson and how she enjoyed cooking. I wonder what her favorite recipes were?

She is on my list of people I would have liked to have met as she sounds like a really cool lady!

Perhaps it was because Dan Curtis thought so highly of himself he saved them? Or if it didn't own them outright, maybe bought them? Lucky for us, if this is the case, he was a bit egocentric.

I'm not sure I found any of the kisses on the show hot. I always felt uncomfortable watching them as it looked like the actors were uncomfortable doing them.

Did anyone notice that as the series went along, all of a sudden, there was more kissing, hugging, etc. in the show? I wonder if DS felt they should add this because other soap operas were? That trend didn't seem to last long, though.

A: "Oh no!! It's my dead nephew Barnabas! I'll bet he hasn't flossed in months!!"

If DC, who I think was the force behind this, wasn't so quick to run through storylines, I think the result would have been a lost more interesting. Many points were dropped, never explained, never mentioned again. To me, this is a lost opportunity.

I remember an interview with James Storm on one of the dvds and he said they were fitting him for another costume but then word came the show was canceled. Wonder what that story would have been? I agree Taeylor, this would be an interesting thread.

Quentin was flabbergasted when he read in an old family journal that his grandmother Edith had once been godmother to Lord Voldemort.

After Quentin had presented it to him, Sandor loved the idea of a Hair Club for Men. [gorgeous]

So, Magda thought, that's what Mr. Barnabas looks like when he turns into a bat. Looks more like a bat-puppet on strings to me.

At times of heightened stress, sometimes and very uncharacteristically Joshua would regale Barnabas with his rendition of "I feel pretty".

Current Talk '09 I / Re: Actors' reaction to different directors

I'm not sure this is a reflection on the director of the show but merely an observation that Joan Bennett seemed to be a better actress in the earlier shows. I am watching the 'beginning' episodes and when Elizabeth Stoddard came on screen I was struck by the difference in her performance. I love JB but was wondering if maybe by the end of the show she'd had enough and just went through her lines without giving it that little extra.

Thanks for posting the vampire article. So, looks like we'll get a vampire series and not DS nor Twilight.

Personally, I wish the leads were a bit older but I understand they are probably trying to appeal to the much, much younger crowd (Twilight age) and that is a good thing which may get the those same people into the theater to see DS. Also, Johnny Depp must have quite a following so lets just hope the movie actually has a good storyline and doesn't rely on special effects to carry it.

While reading this article I got the impression the reporter thought DS was from a novel, like Twilight. I can't really see what all the mania regarding Twilight is all about. I stopped reading the book halfway through because it didn't hold my interest enough. That being said, I did enjoy the movie  [easter_grin]

But this would not be the first 'new' vampire series if it was produced. What about Moon Light and Blood Ties? They were pretty decent vampire shows and both got the heave-ho. Is prime time ready for another vampire? Excluding the HBO series True Blood as not everyone gets that station, I'm not sure. What do you think?
