I am still LMAO over the whole "member" thing. At the local Credit Union in my town they call the customers members and I always laugh hysterically.  It is a standard joke in our house.

Thanks so much for the laughs.

I guess I am not that classy.  Hey, I can call my sweats and t-shirt lounge wear.  Would not get caught, parden the expression, dead in that night wear that Vicki wears .  If it isn't cotten or flannel forget it.  Hey, who said a girl wearing feetsy P.J.'s isn't sexy?

Could not have said it better.  I was thinking in just those lines.  She has basically put her feelings on the line.  He doesn't feel the same way but has to at least tell her that he cares for her as a "friend".  I like the fact that he realized two things. One that he does appreciate Julia more than he thought.  Second that he really is a " bit older " than Vicki and she might respond to a younger man.  I had thought he was in denial that he is not as young as the SYT's he goes for.

I have to comment Barnabas did look very well put together in his robe and slippers.

One thing that bugs me who in their right mind wears a robe with a shirt and tie.  This drives me nuts.  Not only Barnabas does but Roger and Stokes.  Most men I know untie the blasted thing as soon as they can.

Another thing and this one to Barnabas's credit.  He had his robe on with such panache.  When I put a rap around robe on the thing is almost always coming undone and I look like a slob.

Birdiie--who does not wear high heals with her p.j's or nightgown like Vicki does.

Top Cat, was my favorite too.  Can you remember the names of the other cats in his gang?  Let me give it a whirl,  Bennie the Ball, Chew-co, Soook, Fancy.  Thats what I come up with.

I even had the 45 with the Top Cat theme song.

Birdie==close friends get to call me T.C.

Current Talk '02 I / Thoughts on the Dream Curse ....
« on: May 16, 2002, 06:42:02 PM »
or how to avoid doing my housework.

I thought I would comment having never seen these episodes before.  I started watching as a child with the haunting of Quentin story.  I like the premise of the Dream Curse.  The fact that the effects are not that scary to us as adults doesn't take away from the idea.  Dreams often are werid and things that scare us in them when thought about are really kind of funny.  I know I am not being very articulate.  What I am really trying to say is I think it was a good idea.

I am not sure but is it me or does Lange look like a traffic cop or a air traffic controller.   I laughed so hard when he was having the dream, too much.

Love the chemistry between Cassie and Barney.  In todays episode I didn't know if he was going to kiss, bite or strangle her before Mrs. J. came in.  I think he might have wanted to do all three.

I agree with everyone else Vicki and Jeff/Peter--no chemistry.   If I were Vicki I would still be hoping the first Burke would come back.

Why would Barnabas think Vicki would want to still marry him for goodness sake he never even kissed her!
He might have been a little more affectionate.  He might have tried some normal courting techniques.

O.K.  I guess I have put off the laundry as long as I can.

Birdie--I won't have to worry about a coffin just bury me in my washing machine.  Tie it closed with the clothes line.

All I can add is John Karlen is Marvelous!  I was thrilled when he won the emmy.  I remember watching and routing for him.

Birdie--I have a soft spot for him.  Hey, he was willing to give me a sip of his wine at the fest last year.

MY vote is for the one Jennifer mentioned.  It sticks out very clearly in my pointed little head.

Happy Mother's Day to all.  I hope you are all spoiled rotten.

Patti, enjoy your little one on this Mother's day.  I spent 3 hours at the little league field yesterday while my youngest played. Look what you have to look forward too.  Soccor and basketball are only a hour.  No really it is fun.

Wow, Jennifer I use to go to the park all day in the summer.  The day the gimp lady came was a big day.  One not to be missed.  How about snaps and beans?  We have the game beans called something else now, more politically correct.  I have to laugh my husband was the checker champ of a park in the other section of city I lived in.

Jennifer, it is so funny that our growing up years are almost the same.  Too funny.

Don't forget walking to the store to buy your Dark Shadows Cards.  I drove by my old nieghborhood just last week.  I could almost see myself walking to the store, now it is a pizza palor.  Talk about times being so very different.  I lived near a small airport.  You could use this phone anc call the air traffic controler  and they would let you up into the tower.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: Caroline's hair ??????
« on: May 11, 2002, 03:17:07 AM »
I have to say I admired Carolyn's hair.  Growing up in the 60th's long straight hair was the thing.  Needless to say I have thick natural curly hair.  I tried to grow my hair when I was about 13.  Any of you roll your hair around juice cans to try to straighten it.  Let's just say the out come was not pretty.  The only person I know who ever liked my hair long was my older sister.  The reason is I looked awful and it made her look better. lol. My children were horrified by photo's of me with long hair, glasses, short skirt and boots.

I remember older woman telling me some day I would be so happy that my hair was curly.  I hated them for it.
I guess the one bright thing is I don't have to pay to have my hair permed

I think it is funny writing about this tonight.  Just got a hair cut today.
