A couple of questions:

Willie has a car?

How can just an arm looked like it's drained of blood?

Current Talk '07 I / Re: Episode 658, Joel Crothers
« on: January 23, 2007, 10:12:22 PM »
Maybe "Joe" had an honest face but "Nathan" was a unscrupulous individual.  I think Joel could have been a great "Quentin".  Both David Selby and Joel Crothers were very good looking men.  Joel proved himself a great actor!  Remember Joe's dream,
when he saw Tom and Chris at the same time, then the vampire and werewolf came after him.  And when Joe was bitten by vampiress Angelique, he went through more emotional gamut that any other male character experienced on the show... more so.
If that was the excuse they gave Joel for not getting the Quentin part, it was lame.  That's what actors do, act.  They used the same excuse on Alexandra Molkte.  Since fans knew her as the sweet Vicki, they would not be able to accept her as anything else.  I think that's lame too.  I love to see these actors stretching their talents and making the story plots more interesting.  They lost great actors when JC or AM left the show.
On one of the dvds in set 8 I think, there is an interview with DC in which is laughs and insists that he loves to cast "on type" rather than against.

That being said, I think he would have made a good quentin.  I am imagining now though everyone saying when Quentin's ghost starts appearing, "you remind me of Joe!" ;D

I is for Inbred - Julia once referred to the collinses that way, and that was certainly Joshua's initial intention, marrying Millicent to Jeremiah! :)

Looking forward also to the first reviews of the Beginning set 1 and what menus it has.... :D

Current Talk '07 I / Re: Andre DuPres in the 1795 storyline

I'm pretty sure that it's established that Natalie is Andre's blood sister. But what I am sure about is that in Ep #368/369, Natalie informs Joshua that she was born with her title.
Ahh, the arrogant french.  ;)  She is probably so snooty about these backwater neo-Americans that figures she could say anything to Joshua and he'd believe it...or per parents actually named her her "Countess"! ;)

Can lower aristocratic titles be inherited or is it possible that a titled relative can bequeath his or her estate including the title in his/her will?

I don't think there are any pictures of the houses on the Selby site. There's one of Seaview on my DS Alumni site
-- one that has been shamelessly swiped by many people. It was taken by Bobubas and originally appeared on my site with no special effects added. Now it's part of a java applet that makes clouds roll across the photo with the occasional flash of lightning and accompanying thunder.
Just looked at your site for the first time - and you know that image in the top left corner is exactly how I picture the masthead of the Beginning DVDs! :)

IIRC, in the episodes leading up to 210, Willie arrives because he is too impatient to wait for Jason to send for him.  He generally causes trouble and makes Jason's plans much more difficult.  What Jason demanded an apology to Elizabeth for was the brooch he had stolen for some quick cash.  Elizabeth realized it was gone almost immediately and that was the last straw for Liz and why she demanded he leave and was willing to pay him $500 to get out of Collinwood and town.

As James Hall played him, he was a James-Dean-Rebel-without-a-Cause-wannabee without ANY of the redeeming features.  He genuinely creeped me out and was very unlikeable what with his picking fights with every male character and especially his twitchy come ons to the female cast.  I genuinely had the feeling that given half a chance he would have raped one or more of the Collinsport women in time.  Once JK took over, the twitchiness remained but the really dangerous edge was gone. I suspect part of the reason for the recast is that James Hall, while he played Willie well, had made the character so creepy and unlikeable that he would not have been able to garner any audience sympathy once he released Barnabas.  JK, as we all know now, had a je ne sais quoi that dulled (in a good way) the feeling of real threat that JH brought to Willie.
