--Julia (for her medical knowledge, and keen mind, and just being HER...  :-*  which, BTW, makes me wonder how Julia would deal with surviving on a deserted island with all that tweed... cut 'em down and make tweed mini-skirts and tank tops?  LOL Hmmm...then I'd probably want Barnabas along so I could see his reaction to that...and to help Julia with any meticulous work that needed to be done. Maybe his cane would come in handy...)
--The hand of Count Petofi - could help in several areas...if you're lucky! LOL
--Magda - she'd tell our fortunes, help with the meals, help with any other work needed to be done...and I'd have someone else to bitch with, cry with, and someone to give me a swift kick in the arse when need be.
--Sandor - similar reasons. With him and Magda we'd find our way out of that island in no time, honey.  8)

Hiya --

I didn't see anything posted about this, so I thought I'd mention that the dearly departed Don Briscoe's birthday was this past Sunday, March 20th. [occasion15]

Okay, those were just plain silly but... ya get the idea.  :D

~ A toast to a beloved talent...thanks for the memories that continue to inspire us all.   :-*

Well, being the unorthadox kinda gal that I am, here ya go:

¢â‚¬¢ Yeah - Magda and Sandor!!!  :-*

¢â‚¬¢ Carolyn and Tony; and most notable Carolyn and Chris 'the cursed hunk' Jennings...(wish more woulda happened between them)

¢â‚¬¢ Maggie and Joe (so sad how things turned out for them...)

¢â‚¬¢ Quentin and Beth (...and them too.)

¢â‚¬¢ Leticia and Desmond (for whatever reason, the one scene of them in the jail cell makes me get teary-eyed...)

¢â‚¬¢ And in a twisted kinda way... I liked seeing the dynamic of the Roger/Laura/Burke; Edward/Laura/Quentin scenerios... Interesting to see Joshua and Naomi together too (helps in understanding that complex character of Barnabas, I think...) In an offbeat kinda way, it was intriguing to see Elizabeth and Jason interacting...

Potential pairings/groupings ^-^:

1) Needless to say, I gotta proclaim: Barnabas & Julia *ALL* the way... yeah baby!   >:D

2) Then again... my favorite redhead paired up with anyone (at least for a time) woulda been nice to see, ya know?  [Julia/Tom; Julia/Chris;  JUlia/Quentin;  Julia/Quentin/Barnabas;  Julia/Bob the Bartender; Julia/Tony;  Julia/Burke; Angie/Julia/Cassandra; Julia/little vibrating Barnabas/Barnabas etc, etc.....]

3) Professor Stokes/Liz

4) Willie with...anyone that'd make him happy.  :-*

5) Rachel/Tim... Or maybe Tates creation(*not* the Amanda chick)/Tim Shaw

6) Nicholas and Angie (Well, it was fun to watch them interacting (or clashing heads) on the show anyway...LOL)

7) Kendrick and Julia Collins  >:D

7) And Any other oddball combination that'll get my creative juices flowing...  ;D

---Wish i had some illustrations of these ideas, but...maybe another day.  >:D

Connie's unfinished novel Divine Awakening is a very different take--to me, fascinating--on what might have happened to the characters had Barnabas been cured and Julia instead hooked up with Quentin. The emotional dynamics of this are beautifully described. It's very much adult fiction (and I'm not using "adult" as a synonym for "sexual infantilism" as is popular in our culture).

Here, here! [thumb] I love that story too... and this coming from a hard-core B&J nut. LOL  Quite a page turner, that one. :-*

Remember that song "People who need people..."? I tend to care about the characters whose purpose involved watching out for others, and still entertaining us daily:

Couldn't have said it better myself, Sandor...great examples. You get another rum coco for that.  ;)   :-*
