My two don't start back until after Labor Day also.  Can't believe I won't have one in elementary school.  My youngest starts middle school.  Any one remember when we use to call it Jr. high?  My older two head back to college on different days Labor Day weekend.  That is always fun.

Now we start the rush to finish up the yearly Dr. appointments and dentist.  Also try to have some more fun before the summer is over.  It really is too bad work always interferes with the rest of our lives.

I also hate the home work.  I gasp in horror over science projects.  After having four children I feel like I have gone through 3rd, 4th, 5th, grade five times.  Finally, they handle most of the homework themselves now.

I know the feeling about rushing home to watch DS.  I did it in the 60th's and now I rush home from work to watch it.  Yes, sometimes it gets me through the day.

I am sticking with the theory that the Collins family just does not have to use the facilities.  They are much like the nuns from parochial school they never heard the call of nature either.  At least that is what my mother told me.

Midnite, your comment reminded me of my dear friend who passed away a few years ago.  She use to say "School is good", and lets just wave the bus good-bye and dance in the street.  Her favorite commercial was the one for Staples, the most wonderful time of the year.

My name would have Stokes in his den for days.  There were 73 pages of anagrams.  Bed, Beer, and Bod, showed up and quite a few.  Do you think that is a sign?

I want to know where is a doctor like Julia when you need one.  A nice stimulent in the morning, and a valuim chaser at night.

It is scary but I think there was a time that wasn't unheard of for people to do just that.

Don't they say Valuim is the mother's helper.

Birdie--now where did I put my little pill box. hehe

I will keep my eleven year old son.  Good luck with the girls.  Just wait until she is 13.  The perfect child is 13 and no longer perfect.  She has become a "teenager".

I held my nieces baby this weekend she was only two weeks old.  She was so cute..... My husband says I still have the knack, I told him the shop was closed.

I don't know who he is but he looks like Dr. Honeydew from the Muppets.

I didn't mind the Maggie flash back thing.  Adam is driving me nuts.  It is funny when he is with Carolyn he is tolerable, but when he is with Barney and Julia he is so annoying.  I do give Robert Rodan great credit he does a fine job with the charactor but what they gave him to work with leaves a lot to be desired.  I find myself just wanting to give him a smack across the face.  I never hit anyone.  The whole story of making a mate is just dumb.  Why didn't they work on teaching him how to behave with a woman and than letting him meet an actual woman. I guess we would not have a story.  Hey, they could have told them that love isn't all it is cracked up to be, not a one of them has a "mate".

Could not agree more about the scene with Maggie, Vicki, and Barnabas.  That was very creepy. What did you think of the clothes, Vicki sleeveless dress, Maggie long sleeves and Barnabas with his over coat, makes you wonder what the weather was suppose to be like that day.  I guess they all listened to different weather forecasts. hehe

Sorry Ringo, I thought your new pooch was a cutie.  My hubby was over my shoulder while I was scanning.  He could not quite understand why a picture of a dog was on the DS forum.  His comment is he gets a real dog, we have a seven pound pretend dog, our toy poodle.

Thanks Doomsbuggie 69,
There is way too many strange memories of the years I watched way too many soaps.  Hey, I am 40 something and you know things start to get fuzzy and head south.  Just got back from the Cape and we were treated to a Beach Boy concert.  Most of the people there were older than us.  It was fun.  Take care.

I remember watching the Edge of Night.  I think it came on either just before or after DS when I watched it.  I don't remember much about it.  Just one story line is trapped in my memory bank.  It was about a person dressed up as a clown posioning a young girl.  It was a fun show but not as much fun as DS.
