Interesting indeed.  Doesn't totally jibe with the new AICN review (Though, it jibes enough to make me still believe the AICN review), but it seems to work as a balance between it and the first AICN review.  It's interesting just how many perceptions there are about this film from those who have seen it.

I knew it would be appreciated.

Plus, on Twitter, SGS just shared that Bob Cobert's theme is in the score...  Apparently he thought it was in the online samples? Interesting. (It's in the thread that Jimbo linked to.  Stuart and others are in the conversation.)

So much!  I have been so busy with work that I have just now caught up on it all.  But wow...  Thank you everyone for keeping the information coming!  Fantastic work!

MB, I have had the Willie/Mrs. Johnson image as my desktop background for awhile now, but I am definitely going to use "The Legend Bites Back" capture.  I love it!

The Ain't It Cool article is so welcome!  I really hope that is the case.  I have heard from someone else that this film is definitely like Sleepy Hollow - a good amount of comedy thrown into an otherwise dreary story and setting.

And what is really odd about the EW article  (Thanks for sharing, Sara Monster!) is that it mentions Bella in the list of stars, but leaves out Eva!  This is getting strange.

Wow is right.  And, as far as I know, that is simply not true.

They may own the makeup and this particular likeness, this version of the character, but they do not own the character of Barnabas Collins.  If that were true, the comics and other things would have to be licensed through them - which is not going to happen.

[rofl10]

Rated PG “for fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations, and for a smoking caterpillar.”

That is what I was thinking of, as well as the whole battle with Angelique.  I didn't say anything comic about either.  So maybe the MPAA is just warped.   [easter_wink]

I didn't say we.  I said people.   As far as I know, we here at DSF are a species far more powerful than just ordinary people. [easter_wink]

But in all seriousness, I was referring to people who were hoping for the violence to be more serious and horror-filled, and not comic.  I, myself, don't know what comic horror violence is...  But I guess I am going to find out - and then I can decide afterwards if I like it!

Three words which - together - are not going to make people happy:  Comic.  Horror.  Violence.  Now say that without periods, and there you have one of the MPAA's descriptions of the film.

Yes, I think they did a nice job of combining Maggie and Vicki.  Because, imo, that is really what needed to be done.  Vicki was the catalyst for the show, but Maggie was the one who resembled Josette (and actually became wildly popular for that).  But since her name is Vicki, I'd rather she be an orphan.  We will see...

Oh, and I am not promising anything, but I have sent some feelers out in Hollywood.  I know someone who knows people who have worked on the film (Yeah... that sounds legitimate, right?) and she is going to see if she can get any info from them.  Hopefully it pans out.  If it does, that will be great.  If not... at least I tried.

Not entirely sure...   [easter_grin]  It's one of those things that make you go...  [scratch2]

But I know some people who work in the industry who get to sit in on films while they are still being edited (even when they aren't part of the project).  Perhaps this is a similar case... which gives me an idea.

It's really odd, and I wonder what it means exactly.  They aren't cuts...  I am more fascinated than ever.

Furthermore, I'd like to add that this blog post is making the rounds:

I certainly hope it's true.  It would seem to solidify what everyone involved has been saying.

Thank you for sharing!  I always love hearing different versions of my favorite TV theme!

Many thanks for transcribing that, MB.  It was quite informative.

This is an interesting part of WB's viral campaign...

Plus the prizes include unnamed DS merchandise...  I hope we get to see some of it soon!
