i just iewed the 1st color episode for the 1st time on dvd. i have all 4 volumes but im still watching volume 3! i think the picture and sound quality is excellent n both the color and b-w episodes. im watching on a 19inch set with a s-vhs input. if u have this input on ur tv u should use it with ur dvd player. most if not all dvd players have an s-vhs output and it makes a slight improvement in picture quality. anyway, the technology of the times does play a factor. bck then the color cameras had tubes and each primary coor had to be in registration. if u notice some of the shots in the blue whale of the 1st color episode show a lagging effect mostly in the far shots on the left side of the screen. it looks a little like watching a 3-D movie without the glasses. today, cameras have chips instead of tubes and if u look at the interviews on the same dvds(for example) u can see a crystal clear picture.

the photo was taken during the ceremony for drew receiving is star on the walk of fame. yes marion ross has a star as well. none for paul yet. BTW:JOAN BENNETT has one too.

PAUL MICHAEL(KNG JOHNNY)was in hollywood friday with his wife,MARION ROSS. they were attending the ceremony for DREW CAREY who received his star on the walk of fame. i have a photo but dont know how to post it here. will send it to midnite and hope she can do it.

thats great news. i remember watching the 25th anniversary special in the 70s hoping DS would be mentioned. it was not. i dont think they mentioned any of the daytime shows.

most movie sets wouldnt allow photography from bystanders. sneaking a quick snapshot is one thing but filming with a noisy 8mm camera would have attracted attention. your reaching but good luck finding this. it would be great to see.

thanks joeytrom for reminding me and bringing to everyones attention the EHS fanzine letter. then theres the southern california ds club presidents war with the festival and before that the shadowcon presidents war with the festival. so this has been going on for 20 years now.

the direct link is too long and too many characters/numbers in the address for me to do it correctly and i cant or dont kow how to do cut and paste on webtv. maybe someone else here can do it. otherwise u have to select video and then enter dark shadows into their search engine. yes david nahmod is a friend of mine and has posted here before and hes directed the video mentioned and wrote for various magazines. he needs to vent his frustrations with fandom. 1 of his posts to a fan webpage has caused her to close her guestbook. what power!

for the mpi video for the 30th anniversary tribute, david nahmod has posted a negative review of the video but its more about fandom.
calling ds fans lap dogs that drool over the stars. such other claims r made about the fans having no lives and the stars r all has-beens etc.

i doubt if aging process caused the blue tint cause it would have affected the entire show, not just certain shots.i dont think that not white balancing would have made the image blue. usually its a green image when u dont white balance.
