I have been smiling all day.  Be still my heart!
I agree Cheryl, I never dreamed I would have had the chance to meet David Selby.  Truly, I am so glad I begged, whined and was a total pain in the butt so my husband finally agreed to go to the New York Fest last year.  Great memories, even though great sadness happened only weeks after.

This is the story line that hooked me.  Not having seen it since I was eleven I was shocked I remember David and Amy crawling through the wall to Quentin's room.

The magical phone reminded me of when my Dad died.  My son was five at the time and he could not understand why even if Papa was in heaven why couldn't he just call us or write us a letter every once in awhile.  At the get together after the funeral he told my  Mom someday if she married again it would be O.K. if she married a man who looked like Papa and his name was Joe, my Dads name.

I would love to talk to so many people I have lost, my Dad of course, my dear friend who I lost to breast cancer, my husbands mother who I never had a chance to meet, everyone said wonderful things about her, the list goes on and on

My two cents I had never seen Betsy Durkin before and I have to say I go with the club.  She was awful and annoying.  Today when she was talking to Amy all I could think about was "Psycho Vicki".  She scared me.

I am very excited to see this story line.  I have not seen it since the original run.  Actually, I remember in 1968 this is about when I started watching DS.  I have to say today's episode with Amy and the phone still is creepy, and I am saying that as an adult.

Do agree Gerard was evil and that sneer was something else.

small note I saw a suit in the new Chadwicks catalogue that looks like a updated green tweed that Julia wears.  A longer skirt but that horrid tweed.  Every time I looked at it my head keep saying "Julia suit, Julia suit."

I think additional time on testing is a god sent for some children.  My daughter certainly could have used it.  Because she had radiation treatment before she was two she did have some learning disabilities. I wish we had per sued it further.  She was so stubborn she would not be tested.  She struggled and still managed to get pretty good grades but I know having extra time would have benifted her.  She hated the thought of being different than other kids.  Now in her second year of college she still is strong willed.

Birdie--look who is once again rambling

It is funny lately I have heard several bat stories.  My brother and sister in law had several bats in the siding of their house.  It really freaked her out.  Than my husbands cousin e-mailed me to tell me about a bat that somehow got in her bedroom.  She lives in MAINE!  Her hubby tired for over a hour to drive it out a window.

Birdie--your bat was not very pretty.  I think I might have freaked a little bit.

I managed to avoid that sale.  Though I must say my Dad was the king of bargains.  He brought me to some strange place in Marboro to find my wedding dress.  Actually, it was very pretty.  I paid a very reasonable price for it.  All this brings back memories.  Thursday we celebrated our 22nd anniversary.  Looking back at the pictures I can't believe how young I was.  My husband had black hair than and a mustache.  I was a few pounds lighter.   Sorry, this is so far off topic.  I guess I am rambling.

Hey, I have curly thick hair, I would have died to have the long striaght look.  Long hair on me just did not work. Bad very bad.  Now, I can say I have saved alot of money on perms.

I thought Maggie's dress looked more like a first communion dress than a brides.

Jennifer,
I too had Izod golf shirts in every color.  I am not ashamed to admitt it. I still prefer the "preppy" look.  Also had cords in every color.  It still amazes me to go shopping and now see the clothes that were popular in the 70th's now on the shelves.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  The kids are so excited about our getting a pool.  We have an acre of land, one of those new developments, not too many trees.  My hubby didn't want a pool until this summer.  We realized a summer house at the beach was not going to be in our future so why not go for the pool.

We aren't going to have a pool boy.boo.  I would put an order in for one that looks like Don B. or David S.   A girl can dream can't she?

Congratulations Mark!  I am going to ask my two college children if they have any friends going to U. of Vermont.  I will suggest they take that course.  Maybe they will offer at U-Mass next semester.  I will be able to help my son with the course, and enjoy it.

It has been a fairly dreary weekend here in central MA.  Today is raining.  Not too much happening, just getting my two older children off to their colleges.  One left on Friday the other today.  Finally, able to get into her room and lets just say it is a good thing she has left and does not have to hear my voice level going up and up.  I lucked out the other daughter went off to the mall with her girl friend and Mom.  The last of the tribe is attached to a video in the rec. room.

It will be back to the routine starting tomorrow.  Don't know if I am happy or sad.

We decided to put in a pool.  Do you think we are nuts the season is short in N.E.?  I think we only have about seven years before the last one leaves the nest.  They start digging in Oct.  I keep going back and forth on it.
