The parents are never identified.  We meet a younger Edith in 1840 (but you'll find lots of inconsistencies there!).  She and her husband (to avoid spoilers I won't bother naming him) do have children, but we never meet them or learn anything about them.  Since these are all Collinses, clearly it's a son of hers who had them.  But, we don't even know anything about him, let alone who his wife was.  At this point we just have to assume they are both dead since there's Grandmama and her 4 grandchildren.

Wow!  All so nice and that cake really looks beautiful.  Since your pictures are scattered through so many topics, let me just do a general thank you for all of them here.  There's a lot of really nice ones.

Glad to hear it went well.  I've also read that the gains aren't always lasting, so I hope yours are!!

Oh, my goodness!! :)

I think you should have kept this chapter for your return.  How could you possibly bring everything to this point and then leave us waiting?!!!!!

But LUVED how she told Ned, "i'll send you a bill." such deadpan that was wonderful.

I love that "send you a bill" line - one of my favorites!

The one thing I don't understand though, is the fact that I thought Chris told Barn that the first time he changed into a werewolf was the time that Sabrina had walked in on him to ready his apt. for a surprise party. But if that was the case then he shouldn't have had the shackles because he didn't know he was going to turn into a werewolf.

No, two separate incidents.  Initially, he told Barnabas about when it first happened.  I think shortly after college.  By this time it's been happening to him, but I think he said it was the first time anyone else saw it happen.

I didn't make any comments when he first showed up as Ned, as I was waiting for this part.  Initially he isn't too bad as Ned.  One can see that he has reasons for his attitude and those first couple of episodes are all right.

But, once he gets to this part and all of that grabbing all around her, especially her head, it's absolutely unbelievable!  For a supposedly caring brother, he's horrid!  He won't let a doctor care for her (why did he let Julia come at all?!!), or send her to the hospital.  If he has to harm her by scaring her into remembering, that's all that matters.  His revenge is more important that his sister's condition.

And then, of course, there's the additional matter of the actors portraying this.  I do always wonder about Lisa having to sit there immobile and put up with all of that.  I thought a couple of the later episodes as Jeff/Peter grabbing Vicki's head were extreme, but the way he really grabs Sabrina's, I would think it would hurt her!!

I was impressed with Amy singing Quentin's theme.  I can't really sing, and I've found the intervals rather awkward, and any time I've tried it, I know I don't get the tune right.  I thought she did a good job with it.

Current Talk '02 II / Your name is Maggie Evans

Just think - it started with Barnabas trying to brainwash Maggie into thinking she was Josette, and occasionally she'd come out of it and say, "My name is Maggie Evans."  And now, we have Barnabas saying to HER, "Your name is Maggie Evans." :)

Wishing you all the best, Carol.  Hope it goes smoothly and you'll be seeing it all bright and clear!

There was no indication of what sort of surgery, but I found my cataract surgery to be wonderful.  Wearing glasses always gave me a headache and occasionally there was a problem with contacts, let alone all the fuss of caring for them.  Once the cataracts were replaced with implants, I haven't needed anything.  It's been fantastic!!

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Re: Netscape 7 No Longer Works
« on: October 21, 2002, 10:09:28 AM »
I decided to see if I could download it again from a different site.  I saved it in a different folder than the first time.  When I went to get it afterwards, I found two versions in this second folder with a slightly different name (I think one ended with 1.1 and the other was 1.1b, which I believe was my second download).  I can't imagine now the first one got there when I downloaded it to the first folder (that one is still there, I didn't accidentally use the same folder).

Anyway, I installed what I think is the first version and from this copy it worked!  It automatically got all of my bookmarks and mail from Netscape (it asked if I wanted it to copy my profile and took a little while to do it).  I had just finished setting up the mail when I was informed of 1 new message - and it was the notification of a reply to this question that I posted in the WordPerfect Forum!!

So, apparently all is well! :)  (I'm still doing this with IE, haven't tried it with Mozilla yet.)

I downloaded Mozilla 1.1 tonight and every time I try to install it I get a message that Mozilla has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

Details:

MOZILLA-WIN32-1 caused an invalid page fault in
module KRNL386.EXE at 0002:000079c0.

I also copied all the registers, etc., in case that means anything.
