Thanks, Gothick (and Luciaphil)! Now I will be able to get my Dark Shadows fix during the 'dry season!' ;)

That is too funny, Julia99! I had always thought that Crazy Jenny reminded me of somebody. Thanks to you, I now realize that somebody was Eileen Brennan!

Yeah, it certainly does seem that Angelique has acquired some powers she never seemed to have before. This raising the dead thing really takes the cake. Think of all the other times this might have come in handy.  She never does it again to my knowledge.

Speaking as to the blooper, there are so many verbal gaffes on the show.  This is one of my favorites because it was handled rather adroitly.

Think my favorite visual gaffe was later in this same storyline, when Angelique accidentally knocks over an obviously styrofoam tombstone.  Then she tries to cover for it by automatically putting the thing back in place.  Beautiful!

That totally sucks!  And I'm off work this Monday, too!  Was hoping to actually watch DS in real time.  Guess it wasn't meant to be...

What're we all going to talk about when they pre-empt the show for two weeks later this month?

yendor -

The 'ever notice' section had me LOLROTF!!!  It needs to be it's own thread!

Ever notice that whenever Julia Hoffman screams it sounds like a bull in heat?  And when she cries, it goes something like this "Bwahahahahahahaaaa!"

And this comment about Julia's screams/cries is just priceless! Bless her heart! ;)

Love it!

dom,  good luck with the new position.  it's a rather thankless job being a moderator and playing cop with folks.  however, it is a worthy endeavor which keeps our little ds community alive.

also, good to know that MB and midnite have more help.

Ditto that!  Congratulations, Dom!!!

And thanks to Midnite, Mysterious Benefactor, and everyone else who helps to make these posting boards so much fun to visit! :) :)

Yendor and The Charming Mr. Blair:

So sad to hear about your recent respective losses.  Glad that you had such sweet kitties for the years you shared.  May they always live in your memories.

Yes, in 1897 Angelique is aware of everything that happened in 1968, even though it was still in the future.  She knew Julia, and she recalled her life as Cassandra, too.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, Gothick!

Really feeling the need to weigh back in on this thread - can't believe I left out ANY character portrayed by Roger Davis (but esp. Ned Stuart). He constantly paws all the female characters (yuck), just shamelessly overacts and appears to be, shall we say, over-caffeinated (or something - LOL). Then there's that little thing with the *hair.* ;)

Also not a huge fan of Aunt Abigail - she's such a hateful self-righteous old biddy!

Darn it!  Wish I had taped that Twilight Zone ep! Sounds like a good one.

I know what you mean about how the angry young man was often portrayed as a viable romantic hero on DS.  Look how almost ALL the men on the show treated their women!  Guess they weren't big on depicting 'healthy' relationships back in the day, LOL!

Thank you so much Mark!  I easily followed the link and am printing out the first few chapters even as I type this.

Your assistance is much appreciated, thanks for sharing your hard work with us on the board - really looking forward to reading the story! :)
