Thanks for the nice wishes.  Tomorrow I am off to Boston to do the harbor cruise thing with the people from work.  Should be interesting.   Sunday we have to go to an Eagle Scout ceremony.

And they claim Julia would not have made a good mother.  Anyone of us with children know the crisis occur all at once, and guess who gets to take care of it--THE MOTHER!  She was very impressive.

I am in total agreement Joel Crothers was a wonderful actor.  He did an excellent job, such a same his life was so short.  Like the rest of you I would have enjoyed seeing him play other roles on DS.

Birdie--got to log off --there is something on TV I want to watch. hehe

Back to Moxie. It is still sold in stores in my area.  I think I remember trying it as a child and yes it tasted gross.  Now I am curious and wonder if I would still feel the same.  Didn't knowabout all the other "efffects" of the drink.

My opinion is that the script changed as things went along.  I don't think it was or is much different  on other soaps.   Being brought up watching soaps, I know they change or ignore things.  On Days of Our Lives there was another child of Tom and Alice who just disappeared never to be mentioned again.  The poor thing does not even get the Christmas ornament hung on the tree every Christmas, sob, poor slob.  It is the nature of the beast.

Raineypack,  I love shoes, but also love to go barefoot.  It drives my husband crazy.  Also bad habit of leaving my shoes all over the house.  Something my children have inherited.  Not one of my better traits.

Yesterday I wore white capri pants!  The shame of it after labor day.  I failed fashion 101.

Glad to see the traveling man is back on the board.  My daughter saw Cher in Boston over the summer.  She said the concert was great.  She surprised me by wanting to go.  Sorry to hear it has been a pain in the ---- to work on.  My son had a great experience he went to the Aerosmith concert in Hartford and was able to go back stage and meet some of the band.  His friend is related to one of band.  He said Steve Tyler was a hoot. I think he is still flying from the experience.  The rest of my family is green with envy.

What woman in her right mind does not love shoes!  Like Castlebee I have Clark sandles and love them.  I worked all over Disney World in them.  I think I was the only one in my family not to have sore feet.  Naturaliers are also wonderful-- I am scouting out a pair of black short boots, waiting for the sale.  Easy Spirits are compy too.

Birdie--Filene's coupon sale here I come.....

I also love your comments.  I have to tell you my husband's sister gave us a lamp very similar to that one in the west wing.  When we opened it on Christmas a few years back we found it hard not to laugh and ask her what was she thinking.  It now holds a special place deep in the basement.  Have the fun of Christmas is discussing the worst gifts of the year.  Yes, we are evil.

As for Beth's dress maybe Quentin gave it to her.  Just an idea.

Birdie--anyone want a really ugly orange lamp?

Very interesting thoughts.  It certainly would have been intriguing to have Barny and Angie have a child.  Sounds like an opening for fan fiction.  Wish I had the time or the talent.

Cheryl,
I have seen the movie "To Hell and Back", also have you seen a movie on AMC or TCM with him I think it has something to do with Saint Anne, or something.  It is about an Irish family, a comedy.  He was young.
Strange as this might sound one of the things my husband and I talked about when we first started dating was Maverick.  We were sitting in this dive bar after work and I impressed him by remembering the words to the theme song. lol  Sorry to say my husband was never a DS fan.

Bob, how lucky you were!  The picture is truly beautiful.  I planned on going back down to Newport in a few weeks. At least I hope too.  I have walked around the grounds several times but have never been inside.  It is something i would really like to do.

You bet I did.  My bedroom was plastered with posters of David Selby.  Hey, I had room for some others too.  Never went for Davey Jones, like Mickey Dolenz, now I wonder why.

My other tastes were different I loved the old movies and adored Clark Gable.  Also have to admit loved Robert Preston after seeing the Music Man.  Still find those man appealing.  I also like Jack Kelly from  Maverick. How can I forget David Mccallum.

Harrison Ford also makes my heart beat faster.  David Selby has been a stand by.

Hey, I still think those guys are/were something special.
