Current Talk '03 I / At the Blue Whale - Naughty Boys
« on: February 08, 2003, 04:44:11 AM »
[hello] Loved the conversation between Quentin and Aristede at the Blue Whale.  When Quentin said to A something about being unbelievable and A said , "The two of us sitting here discussing what we are discussing --don't you think that is unbelievable?  Just the dry irony of A's reply made me laugh aloud.  That two intelligent men could discuss werewolves and magic hands in a tavern and be completely serious struck me as very amusing. Also A asked Q if that was a gun he was hiding beneath his coat!  HaHa

I don't know; I think that he (Barn) was very kind to her when Sandor was murdered.  He said that they should not hurt one another again, but grieve together.  He was positively mellow and gentle toward her!  Not his usual stiff self. Poor Magda!  Just goes to show what a curse spoken in anger can do to the curser's life.

Current Talk '03 I / Re: 1245 Episodes
« on: January 31, 2003, 04:37:59 AM »
[hello][hello] I have taped DS two times round now. At first I taped DS and Falcon Crest (any guesses why?). That was great, but I wanted to separate the stories, and I don't like retaping to another generation tape.
Solution:  Be at home when I do it and take one tape out, and add the other one when it comes on.  I was able fortunately to get all the way through FC this way and have a great set of these tapes.  Am still plugging away on DS.  Since I work part time now, I can't change tapes, so I am glad that I completed my FC tapes first.  In the meantime, I have gotten about 30 MPI tapes, and have never opened one yet.  I'm just waiting until I get a complete set and then my husband and I will have one more "film festival"!   He thinks it is silly, but he goes along with my obsession, except when I have nightmares, and he can blame it on Barnabus or Quentin.  My tapes take up one whole wall in a small bedroom in my house, and the ones left over from other shows are stored in boxes,  in closets and under the bed.  I love it!  So glad to chat with other folks who feel as strongly as I do about DS and company.

Current Talk '03 I / Quentin and brotherly love
« on: January 24, 2003, 09:22:11 AM »
Let me begin by saying, that I absolutely
LLLLOOOVVVEEE Quentin.  But today when he left poor Carl in the crypt knowing that Barn would wake at any time and do heaven knows what to the poor fellow, was really a low for Quentin.  He can't help tearing people to shreads, because he is a werewolf, but in his human form you would think he could have found another way to shut Carl up.  I know that he is relying on Barn helping him, but I believe that he could have found another way.  Poor Carl!

Please help.  Did I misunderstand Magda yesterday when she told Barn that King Johnny said that the gypsy (sp) woman's daughter was dead?  Did I miss the
episode when Julianka came to Collingwood? Has she been on yet?

Current Talk '03 I / Re: Let's DS mobilize!

[hello] I wear my large silver cross, and occasionally flash it in someone's face to see if they will run away and howl.
Seriously, I have been having horrible nightmares and wake up screaming. This has happened twice and scared my husband to death.  I never did that until this past week.  He has confiscated my Tales From the Crypt tapes, because he thinks that is it--I had not even seen them!  Just taped a marathon recently.  I didn't tell him I had not watched any of the tapes, because I was afraid he might go after my DS tapes next!!!!!!!!!!!Horrors!

Current Talk '03 I / Re: A Fond Farewell to Miss Drummond

And let's not forget, KLS is a very beautiful lady!
I knew how it would end, but I kept wishing that dim Tim would hurry and get a doctor instead of letting her bleed to death.  They talked for what seemed a long time, and he didn't even TRY to stop the bleeding. What was he thinking?   I know B does not have a telephone in his house, so how did Tim think that he would get help?? Didn't he think at all.  Also, when B went to graveyard and found Rachel's new grave, didn't it strike anyone odd that it was complete with a tombstone (and an old looking one to boot) ? I'll miss the dim but lovely KLS.

Current Talk '03 I / Re: THIS IS DIRK'S COFFIN?
« on: January 23, 2003, 08:22:11 AM »
Wonder where Dirk got that coffin?  They do seem to have a lot of them lying around.  Anyway, bad as that one appeared, it was better than the dirt Barnabus threw Pansy in!  Couldn't he have found a sheet at least to wrap the body in.  He doesn't usually gross me out, but when he threw dirt on her, that did.  I know it was a hurried burial, but surely a handkerchief over her face would have been appropriate!

When Ringo said that the weatherman predicted ice and snow for the Atlanta area on Thursday, that's true, and just as surely true--they missed it a mile.  I eagerly watched a drop of rain cling to a leaf on a bush thinking it might freeze there, but not a chance.  It has been 14 today and as dry as a chip.  Oh, well we should be thankful for our sunny brrrrrrrrr skies.

[hello][hello] A large DITTO to Murph.  I do the same thing even if I am at home when it is broadcast. When I am working,  I like to relax and enjoy  around 4:30 when I get home from school.

I'm sorry, I get carried away sometimes.  I know that some of you folks get too much snow.  I guess the snow just looks brighter on the "other side".  Have always wanted to be snowed in in a cozy place with warm fire and a hot toddy.  We have had to take refuge with others when we lost power because of the severe ice storms we sometimes get.  They are pretty to look at but deadly.  Snow seems so much more friendly.  Oh, well guess I belong in the west wing away from all "normal folk" who do not like snow.  Forget sending the snowball.  Love Afan
